Didn't work for long

The instructions don't explain where to plug this in, and it doesn't come with a power supply. I plugged it in to a 5v supply just like the M3D printer.I had good adhesion with it, but there's no explanation of the temperature settings, just 0-3 and M3D doesn't have info on their site about this. It ended up warping my print (with ABS). Also, it looked like the glue holding the pad to the base started giving way from the heat.I tried a second print at a lower temperature, but the circuit just burned up, so now it's useless.Pretty disappointing.Ever since I upgraded my Micro to Micro+ it's been printing badly, was hoping the heated bed would help.Combine that with the crazy delay on the Quad from M3D and I don't think I'll buy anything else from them, just have expensive paper weights unfortunately.

It’s alright

My filament didn’t quite like to adhere to its surface. I started just making a large pillar in my parts to allow cooling time for each layer instead.

If you have a Micro or Mirco+ you need this

I've made a few prints with the heated bed, and so far I am pleased with the results. I don't think the quality of the prints is better, but I haven't had a single failed start yet. Using PLA filament, you get excellent adhesion on those first few layers. I'll ordered some ABS filament and I look forwad to trying some ABS prints.

Poor connector design

First, I was disappointed at how you set the temperature. You can only turn a very small screw and have to have some external way of estimating the temperature. The second issue is that the connector/circuit board is fragile. The connector isn't actually likely to break away from the board, but the whole circuit is a piece of flexible circuit board. Mine quit working after just a few uses. If I bend the cable a certain way, it will light up again. But, I can find no loose component. So, basically, it's a $100 cold bed now. The only good thing about it is that it fits perfectly in the area and doesn't take away any height from the build. But, $100 is a bit overpriced for what it is. Also, M3D does not have a support forum. They have a chat service to answer questions. And, they have a Discord channel. But, there seems to be little to no involvement from M3D themselves.

Heats quickly! Easy to adjust temp and turn off.

The heated print bed heats up quickly. When the printer is in the home position, the extruder is in the center of the print bed. The screw to adjust the temperature of the heated bed is located towards the back of the print bed leaving plenty of room to manually adjust the screw. When the printed item is done printing, the heated bed can be easily turned off by turning the temperature screw all the way to the left.

worst heated bed I've used

Temperature is hard to change - it's a little screw. I had trouble finding the right screw driver. Also, when the nozzle is in the home position, the printer head's rails are on top of the adjustment screw. Good luck with that! There is also no control from the printer itself, so there's no temperature monitoring. And, the build plate won't turn off once the print is done. You need to unplug it yourself... so if you leave your print alone for a while after it's done printing, you'll be wasting a lot of power! Imagine this (common?) scenario: you have a print that's almost done, but you want to go to bed. Do you wait for the print to finish, unplug the build plate, abort the print, or do you just go to bed - leaving your build plate running all night? This might seem avoidable, but keep in mind that the Micro/Micro+ have TERRIBLE time estimates - real print times are always 2-3x worse than what the estimate shows.

No temperature readout. Hard to adjust.

There is no temperature readout and it is very hard to adjust. You also need a non-conductive, ceramic tip screwdriver that is not included. The electrical connection is very frail. I had to return one because it quite literally tore part way with normal use. I suggest you look at some of the cold adhere films instead.
