Light and very easy to clean
I have noticed a lot of reviewers talking about “time to replace!” I’ve been using Springflo filter media on my Koi pond for probably 20 years and NEVER had reason to replace any of it!I use it for both mechanical and biological filtration in my multi-bay filter systems as I like the fact that it’s very light for the volume and incredibly easy to clean!I removed all my filter brushes which were a pain to clean and replaced them with Springflo which can be cleaned in a fraction of the time!The pond is about 4500 gallons, quite heavily stocked with medium to large Koi and in the summer I’m feeding over a pound of food a day yet have no ammonia or nitrite problems!Although I do also use other filter media in other chambers Springflo represents probably 40-50 % and no doubt contributes positively to the water quality!
