I ordered this, assembled it and was highly impressed by the quality of the product and the packaging. I did, however, find that when I went to install the assembled item, that it was one inch too high. Not wanting to disassemble, repackage, return, and purchase another option for significantly more money, I chose to cut off an inch at the bottom. One inch is the maximum that can be cut off the bottom with a quality hack saw.Once fitted with the reduced height, I found the included brackets and instructions weren't quite right for my install, and I had to get a bit creative. I wont go into detail, because my experience likely wont match anyone else's, but suffice it to say that you will likely need to make a modification or two.There wasn't enough included weather stripping for the job, but I wasn't expecting it to be included regardless. It is really well made and sturdy and a great price.

Didn't fit, had to remove the spring panel to install. Scratches easily. Instructions are extremely unclear, I think they are suggesting you have to drill thru metal to install appropriately. Thankfully I could wedge it in place to where it doesn't move and that's works for what I need for now. Also why is there a fitness promotion on the box??

My sliding door height is 87.5 and this company is the only one to have an insert in this height range, which is the closest I could get to the sliding doors I have. All the others are either shorter than 82in or taller than 90in. So I was determined to make this door work.To make up the gap in height, I used a strip of molding that I velcroed to the sliding door top, and I used the brackets they included to fasten the molding attachment to the sliding door. The product overall is solid, and magnets on the dog/cat door part are rather strong. If you have small pets especially ones that don’t feel comfortable pushing through the plastic door to open it, you may need to get creative. I found a way around it by installing my own plastic flap on the other side and leaving the door of this product open when I want them to have easy access. I used a ribbon to hang the door open and placed a command strip hook on the glass above the door to hang the pet door open.When I want to keep them out of the patio, I just unhook the ribbon and close the pet door and lock it.The package was almost delayed too, but the seller worked hard to get the package to me on time.They offered me a discount due to delivery delays and also the error in their height description. Previously it said 86.5in (H) but it’s really maxes out at 85.5in. I see that they corrected this now.I really appreciated the customer service, when I contacted the seller to express my concerns with delivery and also with the height issue, they were very helpful.I am overall happy with this product especially for the price.

We got this doggy door for Wyoming winters. It fit perfectly in our sliding glass door. The seal was great and kept cold are out. Works in all weather conditions. My dogs loved the option of going in and out as they please. My husband installed it within minutes so easy and simple installation.

Door was too big for our opening and when returning the product realized that there was a shipping charge added to the return even though I am an Amazon Prime member. Sellers other similar items do not require a shipping charge - Buyer beware.

All the construction are not so good but it usable

Hubby thought I was nuts for getting this. We have 2 indoor rescues. One is a tiny chihuahua and to my surprise she mastered it fast I thought she would be afraid of it. Nope it the other one Ms Dolly is a small long hair dog, I think the flap came down on her going through slow and she thought it got her. She has to be really desperate to use it. I couldn't get it to fit the right way but ended up better because we can close the patio door and lock it when we leave. I know there is a way to attach it but this way works for us. I'm happy, just wish Dolly would get over her fear

This door looked sleek and easy to install. Looked. It was sleek so I'll give them that. It was NOT easy to install. The instructions were incredibly vague. It also requires holes to be drilled in your door frame. I don't know about you but I don't know any landlords that would be ok with that.The first one received had poorly pre installed stripped screws that were blocking the path needed to slide parts together. We exchanged it. The second one was delivered in great condition but as mentioned above requires screws going into the frame. It doesn't specify this in the instructions but it's what they're asking for.All in all, don't purchase this door. It looks nice but it's flimsy and not worth the price. We regret not just going with the tried and true PetSafe door. Now we're waiting on a refund.
