Best in class
Equipped my radios with authentic Nagoya 771g antennas and with abbree 42.5" folding antennas..reception of these radios is impressive..can program via Bluetooth and cell phone using odmaster app..add a mobile antenna and use in your car..vox sensitivity adjustable to pick up a whisper, if you know truly how to whisper correctly..dual watch channels..the battery last for a week or more on reception alone..also added speaker mic for lapel and a vox headset plugs into mic..and the radio can be unlocked for 2 other bands easily..this, in my opinion beats the baufeng uv5r..farm, warehouse, hunting, camping, overland car travel groups..etcI carry a 40,000mah battery pack to extend usage..has USBc charging port..wait til I buy 2 more before you slam them with your orders and create a shortage..lol 2nd review: I would like to add that with the multiple antennas and using FHSS (hopping) and using channels 8- 14 ( low power ), you can tailor your use to NOT HEAR OTHER USERS AND TO DECREASE YOUR RANGE TO NOT INTERFERE WITH OTHER USERS. setting ctss or dcs codes also cuts your reception to ONLY, those in your group..Great for multiple subgroups..put lead radio on scan and clerical staffing channel 1..warehouse on channel 2.. shipping on channel 3..loading dock and drivers on channel 4.. etc..put all radios on FHSS for selected channels and use the shortest antenna that works..bear in mind, no radio is private but you can program these for NEARLY PRIVATE..PROGRAMMING ALL SUB CHANNELS this way and adding 5th channel on ALL radios allows Com with ALL AND between ALL sub groups as one group..

Nice Radios, Good Value, Fast Shipping!
I like them. This was a pretty deluxe kit with two radios, batteries, extra long antenna, stock antennas, and stubby antennas. Very nice to have that selection. Also had earpieces and chargers, instructions, and two lanyards. What more could you ask for, ha! I have only tried them on low power in FRS bands and they work well with my other FRS and one other cheaper GMRS Midland. I just had to look at the frequencies and match them up, but in reality I put the Tidradios on Channel 5 and put my FRS radios on Channel 5 without DCS or CTSS and it works great! I will try them on high power in the other bands soon, but nice to know you can plug in your own frequency or use a repeater if you get permission and get an FCC license, which you need to operate these. I plan to use them for off roading, boating (I would think you can program them to the marine channels 14 and 16), car to car for caravaning, or for just doing work outside when you need to call for someone. I like my nerdy toys, so these are great. They came charged but I put them on the cradles that also come with them and they charged up quickly. I am ordering another couple of them as the price is right and they are just nice to have around or to take on a trip with kids, etc. Overall, I am happy. I did my research and these were pretty highly regarded in the radio community, although the Bao Fengs, Radioddities, and one other brand with a Chinese name, starts with a W are also rated highly. I was happy with the package and Amazon has enough options of any of these brands to get you what you need, up to and including a 5 or 6 pack. Should be great for camping too. Anyway, do your research, then decide, but I have no complaints. Reception is always dependent on where you are, flat terrain or not, in a building or house or car, etc. but these will definitely put your old Family Radio Service (FRS) cheapies to shame. If you use high power, some say on flat terrain you can get up to several miles or more, but have not tested them out. But you can still use the other FRS radios for short range. Fun to get kids interested in radio, teach them about frequencies and how they work, repeaters, theory, etc.

Fake antenna
for the most part the radios are just fine But after using them in town and finding out that the "Diamond antenna srh805s" antenna is a fake, I am a little P1$$ed Off. I hate counterfeiters and this is a counterfeit antenna, the range is horrible on both the TD-771 which is also a fake Nagoya 771, and on the fake SRH805s. the stock antenna is ok for short range and wide open terrain but after about 3000 feet in city its not useable. I am going to test Real antenna brands next to see the difference and will update after I do.Update: Tidradio has since reached out to me and offered a $20 refund so that I can order the proper antennas whereas this is a great gesture it is still a little annoying that I was shipped with the fake ones but I did accept and will be buying the new proper antennas. Overall use after a few months with the radios they do work fairly well but about 3,000 ft is still my limit with the stock antenna My UV 5R has a little bit better range at 5 watts then the tidradio at 8 watts but again I believe that's due to antennas we'll update again once new antennas get here
