Stephen Skinner has produced the ultimate guide to the complexities of the Lo Pan compass - the basis of the ancient art/science of Feng Shui. He has managed to bring together (in English, for the first time) details of all the many different styles of Lo Pan. This is probably one of the few books available in English for those who wish to understand how the Lo Pan is to be used. An amazing amount of detail, from "The 12 Yellow Springs", through the "The 60 Earth-Penetrating Dragons", to the "The 384 Hexagram lines" - a must for any serious scholar or practitioner.And, by the way, it is not "Out of Print" ...

This book takes the reader through the intricacies of the lo-pan, or feng shui compass in its many forms, but does so at a pretty professional level, and assumes that the reader is interested in being a practitioner of feng shui at quite a proficient level, rather trhan someone simply wanting to know where to put their sofa. Ultimately, it is a practical text as well as a theoretical (or, more specifically, historical) one: so, it includes how to use the compass, where to buy good ones, what kind to buy, how they relate to the various systems of feng shui, and so on. Although I doubt it would think of itself this way, the text assumes that the reader knows quite a chunk of feng shui theory already, so the beginner would get easily lost.

Gesucht und gefunden nur im Anhang, was gewünscht war ;0)Zum Veröffentlichungszeitpunkt waren die 4 Lautzeichen für die chinesische Aussprache leider noch nicht genutzt, sehr schade. So müssen wir Europäer uns dies noch mit echten Chinesen wiederum selbst erarbeiten, da die falsche Aussprachmöglichkeit bekannterweise dramatisch sein kann.Allgemein spannend geschrieben. Aufgrund des Anhangs bleibt dieses Buch im Bestandschatz.Wer Anleitungen erwartet ist hiermit falsch beraten...
