HoverCam Ultra 8 Document Camera 8.0 MegaPixels 60 Frames/Sec, HDMI, VGA, USB 3.0

I have owned the Ultra 8 Hover Cam for 2 years on the road. It hooks in to any VGA or HDMI Projector or Switch. It looks Great and produces a Great Picture. It is super easy to operate.I would recommend this unit to anyone that needs a Document Camera.

My work gave these a try and at the time I did not know what they cost, but now that I do.. omg they are unbelievably overpriced for what they are.We have had 10% of them die (they either freeze up or display no longer comes on at all). The box says they use 5v power, but they come with 9v power supplies. When I asked support they had no idea and asked me for a picture.Seriously, do not consider these things. They are practically a scam at these prices, meant for those that don't understand technology as a whole. Just like WePresent wireless gateways.

If you plan on using the Hovercam Ultra 8 to capture video on a Macintosh computer, DON'T BOTHER. The software for Mac simply doesn't work. The tech support people are clueless--but that doesn't stop them from wasting your time with worthless solutions. I bought it only to do video capture. The software will load, but as soon as you click on the "record" button, the screen freezes. I've tried it on multiple computers and various versions of the Mac OS with the same result. I've tried every idiotic thing recommended by tech support. I downloaded every free or reasonably priced 3rd party app available on the app store, and the Ultra 8 doesn't talk to any of them. It doesn't work. (Caveat: I am not a Windows user at all, so cannot speak to how their software works on the other platform. This is $450 down the drain.
