If you're a digital artist, this a great book. For those who are looking for a classic "how to", this isn't the book for you. The artists talk about the functionality of Photoshop & Painter and some of the techniques they employ, but you will need a solid understanding of these programs if you want to "follow along" with the artists' descriptions. Nice art on display here from some terrific digital artists. Well worth a look.

This is an amazing art book. I was most worried it wouldn't have enough tutorials and would mostly be a book that showcased great art, but didn't show you hot to create art. There is a good balance between the galleries and tutorials and, while I ALWAYS think there could be more tutorials, the book is not at all lacking. This is definitely a "Master Class" level book. If you are a beginning digital painter or beginning artists, while I think you could learn a lot from this book, you may be intimidated. It is definitely for the dedicated artist who has studied and mastered their craft and is looking to learn more, or for the insanely talented. Anyone can appreciate this book at any level and get great knowledge from it, but to reproduce what you see in this book takes some mad skills. It's a great book to aspire to be like the artists in it's pages, I know I do!

Amazing!!!And because one word is not enough for Amazon, this is the most amazing book I've seen. The quality of the paper and the book in general is as good as the artist featured in it. Really, a very good option for the digital artist.

Another Great addition to my collection!

I'm somewhat new to digital art and after extensive research into various digital artists, i found some great ones who's work i love! I then discovered two of them had taken part in a book -this one. I searched the actual website for it, but i was upset because it was quite expensive. Then comes in my amazon friend and, of course, it was way cheaper on here!I was thrilled to receive this book. It's helped and encouraged me tremendously to see two female, digital artists that have started off like i am and have since gone on to create extremely beautiful work!A treasure of a book and it came very nicely packaged :)The book is soft-back but comes with a hard case sleeve!

The art work is stunning. The examples are well done and easy to follow. Not necessarily easy to do but the artists make it look easy.The subjects are varied and well done the printing is very good. Big Fan of Ballistic Publishing books.

Amazing book! I love it!!

Normally I don't buy books like this as I very rarely do digital art but I found this book very insightful and it's a good book to use if your doing fine art or anything concerning that area I have to it's worth the money even though it's a lot cheaper on here compared to the official site.The book also provides detailed tutorials behind each image as well the artists' views on other work by people in that field and another good thing is the print quality it really gives the images justice.

Sehr schöne Bilder, erstellt mit digitalen Medien. Ausgezeichnetes Anschauungsmaterial für alle, die Anregungen suchen es besser zu machen. Das Buch vermittelt zum Teil, wie die Bilder entstanden sind. Es ist kein Kurs für Anfänger, aber für Geübte eine wunderbare Herausforderung besser zu werden. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Tolles Buch! Herausragende Künstler der digitalen Kunst zeigen hier ihre Werke. Das besondere: hier gibt es auch recht anschauliche Schritt für Schritt Anleitungen. DIe Künstler zeigen an einem Bild, wie es entstanden ist mit Tricks und Tipps. Sehr empfehlenswert!
