It catches the dye. Very long lasting as you get a lot in this box. Only dye catcher I use and it's priced right.

A great inexpensive alternative to the more expensive name brands of a similar product. It collects dyes and does its job. It also comes with a nice amount of the product for the cost. It is white and unscented. I sometimes use two with very colorful or new items, but I did this with name brand color sheets as well.

Love love love these. I sew and prewash all my fabric. These rock. I use them whenever we wash anything new.

I started using the name brand Shout Color Catchers years ago after ruining a load of laundry. Once kids became old enough to start helping with laundry, I was glad I had. I found these generic Color Catchers and thought I would give them a try. I found them to be worth the savings! I no longer separate clothes by light/medium/dark - but rather by fabric weight, with the exception of whites which I run on their own. Laundry time (the bane of my existence) runs smoother and is more forgiving thanks to color catchers!

These are easy to use, like the dispensing box design too, but only have to use 1 in my loads, where had to use 2 of the name brand of this product. The sheets are double the size of most and they do not shred, nor lint in the washer or dryer and they do what they are supposed to do, remove impurities from the water and keep colors where they should be. I am very happy with this product and will buy again when I run out (but the box is so big) it will be a while.

These color catching sheets do a great job at a fraction of the price of the ones in the grocery store. I admit I’m lazy and don’t sort my wash well. By throwing in one of these sheets catches any stray dye that comes from fabrics that run. Everything comes out just fine with no dye transfer. Highly recommend. I never wash without using these and this is a great value.

When I opened the box I was overwhelmed by the odor from it -- not sure how to describe it, but definitely not perfume or musk (or anything else usually get when I buy something mislabelled 'unscented'). I would guess maybe it smells like the processing equipment, or something like that...? Anyway, the smell was strong enough that I did not need to sniff to get a snootful of it. Thankfully none of the smell ended up on the item I threw into hot water with the sheet for testing (the smell seemed to wash away).As far as how well it worked, I would say that it did absorb some dye, but the water was still fairly tinted, and with a different but 'identical' item (neither had ever been washed and both were the same easily-bleeding colour), the name brand sheet came out significantly darker with the water clearer.Some of the reviews suggest using two or three of these per load. Based upon the amount it absorbed versus what appeared to be left in the water, I would lean toward three.
