Worked to outside shed without WiFi and outdoor ethernet cable
Provides a good signal to a portable TV that is too far for WiFi so ran an outdoor ethernet and signal got sent across with no issues. Can now watch TV in living room and same signal for shed...if both are powered on.DT264 HDMI Extender Over Ethernet - 1080p, Up to 492ft (150m), Direct 1 to 1 ExtenderArrived in cardboard box with the 2 extenders held in a plastic tray and the 2 power adapters. The advert says 1 adapter supplied but received 2 working versions and due to being over 50 meter run, needed the power so this is a very good surprise to have the 2 adapters as shown in the photos.Working out which one to use is very easy as HDMI slots are clearly labelled for in or out... and this is very handy for the first unit that it has a splitter effect in that you are not losing the signal by sending it only to the next unit, you can watch the same broadcast with a TV next to the first unit.Very easy to plug in and setup the first unit and not a big bulky unit, about the size of a packet of pocket tissues and sits behind TV easily.Ran a cable to the shed along the garden that has power but not WiFi signal to reach it and then plugged in the 2nd unit and setup the 21" TV and signal worked straight away. No issue with channel changes or audio as everything was clear and sounded linked to the action.I can see this being a clear winner in the summer that I now have a TV at the sunny part of the garden and even better, I don't have to leave the chair or mat.... I can phone the house and ask someone to change the channel.... this is brilliant....except I think it might get annoying very fast....lol.Also I would like to mention that the instructions may need a slight review as I doubt I would phone if "my product meet problem aroused by its defects" as per attached photo showing the exact words. If this is in your search, it works with outdoor ethernet cable to provide a signal across 50m cable (with 3m looped up) and really compact unit.

It works well, but local monitor is fussy about HDCP
The DT264 HDMI range extender works as claimed. The boxes feel solid and the connectors grip the plugs well. The two power supplies are useful to ensure reliable operation with a long thin Ethernet cable which drops too much voltage. I suggest always using them. What is not mentioned is that the distant display is where the HDCP license on a source is handled, and a local monitor will not work without this being allowed.I didn’t have a long enough Ethernet cable to test its full limits, but 3D 1080p worked well with the full surround sound. Quality seemed to be maintained well.

Compact, well-made units.
Before I go any further, I just want to point out that these units can’t be used to send video through switches or routers or through any of your computer network equipment. That’s not what they are for. These units just allow you to send video over much longer distances than HDMI cables support by using ethernet cables instead. Each device is a compact metal box that has been put together in a quality manner. Only two screws hold the cases together, but the joins are so well made that there is no movement in the two halves of the case and all seams are tight. I believe the company cares about their product. There are two power supplies included in the box and the cables are about 1.1m long. Setup was easy, just plug everything in and off you go. Picture quality was decent, and the audio and video stayed in sync. There really isn’t much more to say; they just work.

Loop-out is a great addition...
The intended use (in my case) if for connecting to a CCTV DVR system with a single HDMI output. Some systems also have the older RF-out or VGA sockets available, which give a few more options regarding connection/distribution, but these are not fitted to this DVR.These units are simply to allow use of an HDTV sited next to the DVR, and to send the same HD picture to another TV located in a different room (and on a different floor). For this job these extenders are perfect, by the inclusion of a loop-out socket on the transmitter box. This simple job can be done with extra hardware of course, but the inclusion of loop-out in this case saves a lot of hassle (and further expense). There are no DCHP considerations in this particular setup, so I cannot comment on any possible issues when using these for anything else other than my purpose for these.Incidentally, the listing states that only 1 power adaptor is included in the package (which would normally be located at the transmitter end). There are in fact 2 adaptors supplied, but it's a matter of trying if both are actually need for them to operate correctly. It would probably be necessary to use both if extending the signal anywhere close to the maximum of 150M.They are very well made, enclosed in metal cases as opposed to the usual plastic, well packaged, and with the adaptors included all you need to add are your own HDMI leads.Thoroughly recommended (for my use at least), and hopefully they will work for your particular setup as well.Great stuff... 5-Stars.
