No More Bleeding
I had gnarly scabs all over my shins from heavy deadlifts. The constant pulling of the knurl up my skin left some pretty nasty marks. In order to stop this I looked for shin guards. I wanted something light and thin, but tough enough to at least prevent some friction. Lo and behold BearGrips! They are tough but super comfortable. The padding is just enough that it protects you, but doesnโt feel like you duct taped couch cushions to your shin. They will stay skin tight during the workout, so anticipate hand washing these bad boys. Excellent product.

Game-Changer for My Deadlifts โ Highly Recommend!
I purchased these deadlift shinguards with some skepticism but was immediately impressed once I used them. The sizing instructions provided during the ordering process were spot on. I followed the guide, and they fit perfectlyโsnug without being too tight. What really stood out to me was the instant improvement in my form. With these shinguards, I was finally able to drag the bar up my shins without worrying about the aggressive knurling tearing up my legs. My form has noticeably improved, and I feel much more confident in my lifts. The stirrup design is excellentโit keeps the guards securely in place throughout my entire workout. I never had to adjust or worry about them shifting, even during my heavier sets. One thing to note is that the shin pad does trap a bit of heat, similar to wearing a thick, long sock. However, some might find this beneficial, as it can keep the calves warm and ready for action.Honestly, I canโt imagine deadlifting without these now. Theyโve become an essential part of my routine, and Iโd recommend them to anyone looking to protect their shins while improving their form. Five stars!

Rope climb protection, and expected results for other workouts that threaten the well being of your shins.
I am waiting to see how the durability is before giving 5 stars, but it definitely gets a strong 4/5.Durability (N/A):Still too early to tell. I will try and provide an update once I get some long term use out of them.Functionality 4/5:I bought these to protect my shins from rope burns during rope climbs. Prior to the Bear Grips I had used knee braces around my lower shins to try and protect them. At about 10 rope climbs I still got some burns which took a week to heal afterwards.Recently I completed the same number of rope climbs, but with the Bear Grips. During the workout at one point I did feel some heat come through, and was worried that I may have just wasted my money. After a few days however no signs of rope burn surfaced. These things did the job. As noted however, I haven't had the chance to use these a lot. I am curious as to how the outer material will hold up against several sessions of rope climbs, and bar scrapes from dead-lifts and various other oly-lifts.I have also been the victim of shin strikes during box jumps, and I imagine that while I would still have some serious bruising should this happen with these on, I wouldn't end up with divots of skin gouged out. With any luck, more like proper scaling, I will never be able to review these for shin strikes.Comfort 5/5:Light weight and comfortable. They do not negatively impact my workouts.Suggested improvements:- Adding a layer of a higher density material to help distribute the pressure from any strikes, this layer would also prevent the heat from ropes climbs from getting through.Overall, I would highly recommend them to others.

I love it!
I followed the instructions for sizing and I got the perfect fit! I used it today for the first time for rope climb and I was very impressed! My shin felt great throughout the whole workout where I had to do rope climbing multiple times. No redness after the workout or burning sensation. I normally donโt write reviews, but this time I was actually impressed and so thrilled with how well it worked for me :-)

great product
extremely comfortable and the perfect amount of shin protection. Absolutely great for deadlifts, you don't even think twice keeping that shin contact all the way through the lift.

Adequate protection and comfort
I Got into lifting pretty extensively over the last year. While I made great progress specifically on the deadlift, the barbell was tearing up my shins. I Bought some hard plastic shin guards, but they were too bulky and the strap flaps would frequently cut my hands. I was skeptical of Bear Grips at first because they're sleeves, not hard plastic. However, after the first lifting session, I was sold. These socks completely protected my shins. And even better, they didn't disrupt the flow of the lift. Great product!

Very comfortable and well made
I purchased this product to protect my shins during box jumps, deadlifts, cleans, snatches and rope climbs. I chose your products because they look well made. I havenโt rope climbed yet or missed a box jump yet, but they will protect my shins. They are very comfortable and the silicone band keeps the sleeve at the top works well. The sizing chart worked great and gave me just the right size.
