Smiffys WW2 Land Girl Costume, Khaki with Top, Dungarees and Headscarf, 1940's Wartime Fancy Dress, 1940s Dress Up Costumes

The fit is just right. My usual size is 14/16. The white top is satisfactory as well. I was hoping the headscarf would be large enough to create a turban, but unfortunately it is just a piece of triangular fabric, very small.

The dungarees are OK for a casual fancy dress party. The material is very thin and creases easily as there is no substance to it. The top comes up short - I bought an XL for size 16 - 18 and the outfit comes up rather snug!! The top comes up too short but is wide enough. The headscarf is useless for making the traditional 'turban' that the Land Girls used to wear their hair like - it is a very small triangle. I will use it as a rag in the dungarees pocket. A bit overpriced at £24.90 especially as I will not be using 2 out of the 3 items. I have bought the outfit in readiness for the VE Day 75 celebrations in May 2020 but I may look for something more substantial and lend this one out to someone else.

Having read most of the reviews posted, I was unsure about purchasing this outfit as it would appear 50 / 50 regarding fit and quality. However, I did order it and very glad I did. I am 5ft 7” tall, size 10. I ordered 8-10 and the dungarees fit perfectly. Covering the remarks made in previous reviews, the Belt is “fixed” but looks exactly like a belt should do and sits comfortably on my waist. The T Shirt is a very good fit and goes to below my waist. The scarf is long enough to go around my head in the fashion of the time, and I do not think I have a particularly small head. I was very pleased with this outfit and very confident of wearing it at the 1940s themed party. Would definitely recommend and at £19.99 was a very good price indeed.

I bought a small (8-10) which fitted well apart from the straps being too long (I got around this by wearing one off the shoulder and tightening the other with safety pins). Overall, the product is good for the price but not quality.

Good quality and good sizing too. Bought for a themed day at work which happens every other year so will definitely get the use of it. The tshirt comes up quite short in length so might be better to use your own white tshirt.
