MUURIKKA Light Camping Frying Pan Leisku with Folding Handle and Cover Bag

I love cooking on this camping frying pan.I’ve used it on a gas stove, a wood burning stove and an open fire.Before use though it does need some preparation. There were burrs round the edge of the pan that needed dressing with a file so as not to cut your fingers on. Also the handle is bare wood and could do with coating with danish oil to stop it getting dirty. Ideally these things should have been done by the manufacturer.The pan then needs seasoning before use.Using the pan on an open fire is a joy. The long folding handle keeps your hands away from the flames and when seasoned the pan is practically non stick and easy to clean. It will require a light coat of cooking oil after use to stop it rusting.I’ve been using mine now for 3 years. It is robust and durable and if treated properly I can see this lasting a lifetime.

I bought this to use with Scouts to save hunting for rusty grills. This is a robust item, not too heavy and, due to its folding handle, slimline and easy to pack. Seasoning the pan was a simple task that I did at home in the kitchen. I have since used it to cook bannock, sausages and fish (not at the same time!) on a camp fire. It was easy to clean and the bag keeps it clean ready for next time. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great little foldaway frying pan. I use it for eggs and bacon, browning toast etc over a wood burning stove. Folds away neatly, well made and if you follow the instructions doesn't stick. It will rust very easily if left wet.
