Pax Porfiriana Collectors Edition Board Game

I really like the new thicker discs and the new graphics for the Pax Porfiriana board.

This is one of the best tableau builders out there. Totally dynamic, complete chaos, super cut throat. It takes a bit to learn but what you put into this one, you get so much out of it.

I echo Johanna's review - this is an excellent game, but players should be ok with its complexity (definitely not for non-gamers). I mainly wanted to say that the Collector's Edition really just includes a board with a nicer printout of the rules. The regular version has the same cards and tokens. If you are wanting this one, and the regular version is much cheaper, just go with it. The board just has spots for the cards to go on - nothing special.

Look, this is a REALLY complicated game with a LOT of moving parts and corner cases that can be tough to keep in mind. Be honest with yourself, if you love that sort of thing, you will love this game. If you like things a bit more straightforward, avoid this game.The game does an excellent job of creating the feel of the Mexican revolution and that anything can happen. Events shift wildly and opportunities to win come up sporadically. You need to be prepared to leap on it but be vigilant against others taking advantage. If you can ride the waves of chaos and hang on with both hands, you could rule Mexico.

Although this game is definitely not for everyone, but if its the type of game you want to play, then this is a very good game.Components quality are good, and delivery is very fast.
