I bought 2 of these to keep a Jack Russel Terrier pup confined to the kitchen. They replaced ugly, broken old plastic gate that I had to strep over or take down and one with a gate with missing parts after 14 years storage. The screw-in feet worked out well on the stone work. Its definitely sturdy enough to hold up for dogs and small children. I didnt need the sticky pads or the screw-in cups as my dog is small. In the location shown in the picture I was able to install it with just the parts in the box except for a "between the stones" block to give the contact disk a full surface to grab. Very pleased with easy install and functionality. If you are looking for a top of the stairs toddler proof gate I'd recommend one of the REALLY expensive heavy duty screw it into the studs versions. No matter the cost, its cheaper than an ER visit and potential life altering injury. For dogs or not top of the stairs toddler continent I highly recommend!

Gate works easily, swings both ways and latches when pushed back to close it. Nice paint finish, hope it holds up outside.Negative: There is a bar across the bottom that can be easily tripped over and is dangerous, especially if at the top of stairs like I have. It should be painted a bright red or yellow as a warning

I’ve owned numerous baby gates over the last 17 years. This is by far the best. It’s nice to look at, easy to install and functions well. My 5-year old is able to use it to get up the stairs when he needs, he just slides the latch over and lifts it up to open.The gate itself stays open when I need it to, like to carry laundry baskets upstairs- what a convenient feature. And definitely keeps baby out when latched,, providing safety first.I loved this gate so much, I bought another one. We use 2 in our home now. GREAT PRODUCT!!

Easy to set up and fit great. Door works perfectly and just what we needed. It took longer to ship than I expected

We installed this gate to replace an existing gate that separates our living room, dining room and bedrooms from the lower level of the house. It is primarily to keep the dog out of those rooms, but we have a granddaughter toddler that it works on as well. The gate is fairly light, but it doesn't seem to affect the usability at all.

I love how easy it is to open this gate. It's also super sturdy!
