Great buy
Woks great should have bought years ago. Work like the expensive dealer tools. Maybe better. Easy to use and can view leds of all the clips at the same time. Very helpfull.

Mics imbalance.
Wasted money on this to diagnose a front end noise. Mics are not balanced and two are louder than the others with dead air. So once you start driving those two appear to be the issue but if you move those mics to a different area that has another mic on that area appears to be the issue. Really wanted these to work. Discarding the two bad ones and still couldn't isolate the noise.

Worked perfectly. Used to find some small rattle in Jeep. Just pay attention to where you run the wires.

Works excellent and much cheaper than other brands.
Highly recommend this electronic ear for diagnosing hard to identify noises. This unit also has a db meter built In so you can see exactly which lead is making the most noise when testing. Very handy to have.

All clips have microphones, not piezoelectric elements.
Unlike the discontinued single version I bought from Steelman, this multi-channel version uses microphones glued inside the clip and covered with heat-shrink. In my case, microphones work better. But I just didn't expect microphones.

Probably not worth buying
This device is useless, I bought it to diagnose rumbling or humming sound that I was getting from engine compartment . I couldn’t determine if It was due to a bad wheel bearing as it looked fine when spinning the wheel or moving side to side. So I bought this device to see if it can help. I heard all sorts of noises but the wheel bearing. It doesn’t pick up vibration or rumbling sound. In the end I just went ahead and replaced the wheel bearing, luckily that fixed the problem.but this device was no help at all.

Not good for diagnostic
I tried to use this device to troubleshoot clicking noise from car suspension system. This device is useless for diagnostic because it does not pickup vibration and every microphone registers the same sound in wheel bay independent of location.
