I'm not sure if it would kill so many bugs if it didn't draw them to the area, but the light is so bright that they all come! Not for a room that you want quiet in as it is noisy and bright and when the big bugs get zapped, it makes even more noise! I took the zapper I had in the mudroom and brought it to the living room and took this one to the mudroom. I'm sure they'll see the light and head straight for it! Somehow I think they figure a way into the house, just to be near this beautiful light. Be prepared for lots of bodies...and they don't all land in the catcher, but many land around the zapper! It's really pretty amazing. I think it would work great on the porch on a dry evening as long as you don't plan to leave it out there all the time. It wouldn't do to get it wet.

Nothing worse than getting a flyer to in the house.Can't stand having them fly around the kitchen while trying to prepare food.These things work great.I keep one in the garage that's on a timer.The one that's in the house is only when we see a fly or two. We turn it on and put it at the South end of the house and usually in a very short time will hear this zapp.Love this product enough that after buying one shortly after that we bought another. Several neighbors have also bought the same ones we have.

It does not attract very many flying insects, especially house flies. Very noisy also.running 3 days over a garbage can and it killed some very small bugs and even fewer house flies. I kill more with a fly swatter in and hour than this thing did in 3 days.

Why do we need to fill this out, like before we plug it in?Why not after it's been used for 1 year?Items can not be rated till it's been is service for a good length of time, or dead.

I purchased two of these one I have had no issues what so ever and as its been getting warmer Im needed to empty more ofteñ. The other one not so much, doesn't t turn on 90% of the time and when it does it's usually doesn't stay on for long

I very much like this product. I picked it because a couple of reviews noted that the zap is too loud, but that is why I chose this model. I enjoy hearing each fly being zapped. Generally, I'm a peaceful person. Still I like to hear the sizzle. Even more, I like having no flies in my home.

i love this thing so much. works very well only when it is dark out though obviously. attracts basically all the bugs and mosquitoes around me and kills them. always have it with me outside at night in the summer. would recommend.

Realmente mata moscas y mosquitos. Un buen plus para estas epocas de calor donde abundan los mosquitos.

Très efficace pour tous les insectes volants (mouches, moustiques...) seul bémol il est assez bruyant avec les gros insectes. Il évite d'utiliser des insecticides.

Het product werkte niet. We installeerden het op de plek waar we het wilden gebruiken en zetten het aan maar de lampjes gingen niet aan. Dus geen dode vliegen jammer genoeg. Wel hebben het terug gestuurd. Nog niets van gehoord tot nu toe...

We initially purchased a cheaper Lantern style from Lidl but after almost a week it hadn’t done a thing, not one fly…… we returned the item and purchased this model from Amazon. What a difference. We have this in our chicken shed and constantly here the little bugs, flies etc getting zapped. Very effective method of cleansing the area and would recommend.

Don't buy for mosquitoes- they aren't attracted to light, just heat and CO2
