Shield is the Best Bedwetting Alarm. It Totally Works.
A friend of mine has 3 children all of whom have stopped bedwetting with the Shield Bedwetting Alarm. She is the one who suggested that I purchase this alarm for my son who is 7 years old. My son has been battling bedwetting and wanted to overcome it soon. When we tried the Shield Alarm at first, we noticed incredible results. Within just a few days he started waking up to the alarm and started using the bathroom. It’s now almost month that he has not wet the bed. He is free of his bedwetting problems. My son liked the cute looks of the alarm and we liked its functionality and overall performance. The alarm makes it extremely easy to monitor his progress on the alarm itself as opposed to keeping a diary to monitor the same. My younger daughter also wets the bed and if she doesn’t stop wetting the bed soon, we are confident that the Shield Bedwetting Alarm will help her overcome this problem in no time at all.

Terrible, defective product
This product is terrible. When I first received the package and went to snap on the clip that attaches it to your shirt, I wasn’t able to remove the snap on clip without breaking the tabs that are needed to hold it on. I emailed the company to let them know directly and did not receive any response. I used tape to attach the snap on clip and we tried to use the alarm. The alarm worked for one night and then it went haywire. The alarm would go off when there was no dampness. It was impossible to get the alarm to shut off. I watched the YouTube video that explained to remove the clip, remove the cord, and press the button. After doing this the alarm would stop and then as soon as we plug the cord back into reuse it the alarm would start beeping again. Doing this in the middle of the night was super frustrating. The alarm is now not working at all. I can hold the alarm under running water and it does not go off. And then randomly I hit the one button and unplug it and it starts going off and we can’t get it to stop. Total waste of money and again I emailed he company twice over two weeks ago and received no response. This product made a stressful situation 50 times worse. I do not recommend and would appreciate the company replace this defective product.

Finally, Something That Worked!
This was simply one of the best things for my bedwetting deep sleeper son. He was really struggling with it but was giving up hope. This product worked like a charm for him. he went from twice wetting a night to once and then no wetting in a week. After he went 14 consecutive nights dry, he started sleeping without the alarm. That was more than a week ago and he has been dry every night. Wish I had bought this a year ago! Totally worth the cost.

Does not work as advertised.
The instructions for this product says to place the sensor on the front center of the child's underwear. But, my child sleeps on her side or back, and therefore wakes up with wet panties on her side or the back side of her underwear. So, the sensor doesn't come in contact with the urine, and it does not activate. I will be returning this product, and going with a bed sheet alarm.

Only Works Sporadically
The sensor is not made well. The alarm only went off sporadically for our son. Even when he completely wet the bed it would not set off the alarm most of the time. We tried this for two months and even tried exchanging the first one we received. Poor design.

This will work!
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter who was a heavy sleeper and sometimes couldn't wake to use the toilet. It did work although took 4-5 months of steady use. There is a considerable parent investment, but it is worth it!!! Initially my daughter didn't awaken to the alarm at all, and my husband or I would need to go into her room, awaken her, and take her to the toilet (then change her pajamas, etc). Later, she would wake up on her own but would be confused and we would need to suggest that she use the toilet. Finally, she now wakes on her own without wearing the alarm and there have been no accidents for 6 months. This device consists of a sensor that clips on the outside of REGULAR UNDERWEAR, senses moisture, and is attached with a cord to an alarm that can be clipped on the waist of pajama bottoms. The little sensor clip WILL NOT work on Nighttime diapers. For nights when accidents occurred I used Good Nites disposable bed mats (which have adhesive stickers to keep them in place) to protect the bedding under my daughter. Her pajamas would still get wet and would need changing. We actually bought several devices prior to the Shield Prime Alarm. Some failed because the alarm stopped working. Others failed because the delicate clips would get bent or broken. The Shield Prime Alarm seemed to finally do the trick, but I would caution users to protect the little sensor clips as they can break easily.

Believe the product works, but quality could be better.
We’ve had this about 2 months. It took a while for our 5 yr old boy to show progress but he slowly got the hang of it. He still has 1-2 accidents a week so we’re not done with the “program”. But we are pleased with this part of the product.I am disappointed in the quality. About a month after use we had to take it apart because the button got stuck and could not be pushed. Then, just recently the white cord snapped, broke clean in 2. Fortunately we were able to rig up another wire to it but we shouldn’t have to do all this work for a $60 product.
