Bootleg box, low quality but high performances
Jefferson Airplane had few periods in live performance history. Here You HAVE representtatives of all of them. From their first recorded live acts ( CW , 1965) to the last moments with Marty Balin ( KSAN ,1970). Many interesting songs never recorded by this group in studio on 5 CDs.Among them is long jam with Grace Slick on vocal ("Nothing"), Balin's showpieces ( "Emergency", "Driftin'", "You Wear Your Dresses Too Short"), Jorma Kaukonen glories minutes ( "Uncle Sam blues") and Joey Covington's contributions ("Old Man", "Bludgeon of a Bluecoat") and also some instrumental jam improvisations including famous long jam with Grace on keyboard from 1967.This is bright side of this box.The dark side is low quality of sound, even below the lewel of bootleg sound and whitout adittional photos or any extra notes about those recordings. For music fan - better check the others official live CDs of this band like "Sweeping Up the Spotlight " or "Bless Its Pointed Little Head" - those are excellent documents with good HQ sound. But for the Airplane fans - this one is a must!
