Was a little bit disappointed with this item thought it would be a bit heavier

Here's what I think is poor about this product:1. Misleading product description The base is advertised as "Heavy Duty Bronze Cast Iron Effect Metal" . So each word suggests something robust, and made of metal (cast iron or bronze). But actually, it's made of cheap resin. The base is therefore not at all heavy and and it is therefore not much use in even light winds.2. Resin is poor qualityIt has has already cracked - see photo.3. Wrong bolt suppliedThe bolt for fixing the base to the tube was too short and the wrong diameter. Fortunately I had one of the right diameter and thread. Another one star reviewer also reported that the bolt was wrong, I think.I could send it back, but I'm not going to and here are the reasons why:1. It looks nice and I bought it as part of a present for my wife2. It's a faff sending things back, especially heavy things.3. I hate throwing things away, which would be its fate if I were to return it.4. I will mend the the crack with superglue.5. I will reinforce the underside of the base with chopped strand fibreglass filler (eg Isopon P.40)6. ..and embed a steel plate to add strength and weight.It will then be closer to what I thought I was getting in the first place.This is a pretty item, but as others have said, it's poor value for money.

My sun umbrella

This item took a long time to arrive but after I contacted the seller it was immediately delivered. It was exactly as shown, a heavy metal garden umbrella base in a wrought iron style. I was able to assemble it easily and my umbrella pole fitted easily. It is a very attractive base and will withstand the wind easily.
