After 1 year of use not sure whether it is protecting the concrete.
Last year I bought 1 ltr and applied for a small area to test but now it looks like the lotus effect has vanished after 1 year of application as you can see in the pic where the diagonal line divides the newly applied last week vs 1 year old applied area when they are sprinkled with water you can see the black area indicates the cement got wet and the whiter area didn't which was coated last week.Had bought this 5 ltr one in April this year but was lazy to apply it till now, but anyhow went ahead applying this 5 ltr as well thinking it may have some effect to the concrete below the surface to prevent dampness entering the house. So this brings up a serious question of using it as a exterior paint protector not sure whether it will protect after an year.Have bought Zydex Zycosil and prime also, again not applying now but to keep it in the arsenal for later use, I am sure that also will as in effective or effective as this since both claim the same technology but that one a bit cheaper and covers larger areas since it has to be added to 20 ltr of water, but not sure whether the active ingredients are more diluted there per sfts. Not much research papers available at the moment and Nippon aquasil also claims same tech but not available online for purchase or in local market near my home in Bangalore.
