Not lasting
The audio quality was decent until they started rapidly wearing.I used them daily for Fire and EMS Pageouts for a Broadcastify feed. Both have come un-soldered inside the base of the antenna allowing the antenna whip to freely spin. One had the female SMA thread come out of the base of the antenna.. this is all after 2 months of use. Sad I cannot return them to buy a smaller one as I suspect their smaller version would last much longer. The larger antenna just get in a way occasionally with daily use and transport.

Fits Baofeng UV-R5 well
I have two Baofeng UV-R5 and both antennas are a good fit for my radios, although I don't have a precise way to measure , they seem to boost the reception quality and no degrade of communication effectiveness.

Great antenna
I really like this antenna. My other one came apart when I pulled on it. This one is made better but doesn"t seem to get the notoriety. I pick up better with this antenna. Price is right. Not sure what all the hubbub is with the other brand.

They do not improve Boefang 888s range. Reduced range by 30%.
Replaced my short high 888s antenna with one of these and it cut my range by about 30%. Tried it with 4 different antennas and a dozen different radios all had the same effect. Switched back to original radios

Better on 70cm than 2m
Hooked this up to a meter and it's definitely made for 70cm. Even business band is better tuned than 2m Ham. Still, it's better on 2m than the rubber duck that came with the radio, but it really shines at 70cm.

TX & RX loss over 30%
Switched out the antennas on my Beofeng GT-3TP because they were worn. Big mistake. On some frequencies loss was over 60%. I may hold on to them as back up for worst case scenario. Dont be like me and cheap out. Make sure they are the genuine Nagoya 771. These are counterfeit made by tidradio.

Not good on vhf
This antenna isn’t very good on vhf. Most of my work is done between 150 and 160 MHz. My radio was practically deaf using this antenna. Went back to the old short rubber ducky and my ears opened back up. Guess I’ll stick with the old antenna.
