Impressive home DIY gel lamp
The media could not be loaded. Purchased this via amazon as it came with the base coat and top coat and cost less than ordering via Mylee direct. The lamp came with 4 UV bulbs, which take a little firm force to push in place, and both the top coat and base coat. For doing my nails I followed instructions given (put 3 coats of gel nail varnish on) and this is my verdict:Base coat- remains tacky after curing, this is fine you don’t need to cure any longer than instructed.Nail varnish- the one I used wasn’t mylee branded but the lamp cured the gel well.Top coat- after curing this remained tacky, I tried curing for 2-3 more times but it didn’t set. This top coat needs the prep and shine wipes to remove the tackiness. I ended up buying the ‘no wipe top coat’ which cures smooth and doesn’t leave you with tacky nails. Would 100% recommend this.Overall- I’d 100% recommend this lamp. I’ve used It a couple of times now with no issues. My nails last around 2 weeks without chips. My nails usually last 3 weeks from the salon, however considering the lamp is cheaper than one nail session I think it’s a win win.Disadvantage- only negative would be timing, it does take time to do your nails. Waiting 120 seconds for the base coat, 3x nail varnish and top coat per hand and then for your thumbs is a little annoying. I also wouldn’t recommend this top coat

decent bit of beginner kit.
Good price when you compare how much the individual components would cost. Easy to use and assemble, seems pretty sturdy. I have used it 3 times now to do a shellac manicure, both on hands and feet. Sometimes one timed exposure is not quite enough and you have to use two but that depends on the thickness of the varnish and whether it is opaque etc... I use white nail varnish which seems to reflect it pretty well and needs a decent length of time. On clear varnish it cures with one exposure fine. I love the timer though as it means you don't have to clock watch. I would rather have to press the button twice than set a timer of my own. I think next time I will get a more expensive brand of shellac as I get on better with it. But really it is much of a muchness when you have to redo it each 2 weeks anyway when it grows out. If you are wanting something to try out shellac for yourself and don't wanna invest huge sums off the bat this gives you that tryout for less than the cost of one manicure. And I don't see myself going back to the salon too soon.

Perfect, chip free and strong nails.
I couldn't be happier that I bought this kit as an impulse Black Friday offer. The bulbs took no time at all to push in and I quickly worked out the buttons.TIP: I didn't get any gel polish, so I decided to use the gel base, normal polish and gel top coat. I cured the base, wiped off the tacky layer, put on my polish, let it dry and then when I took my hands out from curing the top coat, it had dried really wrinkly and messy and awful.I looked it up online and eventually read that it's REALLY important to let your normal polish dry completely if you're doing this method, as in 6 hours at least. I re-did my nails, let them dry for around 12 hours and my top coat cured beautifully. It's now been 2 weeks almost and my nails have grown so much. Other than the visible growth, my nails are absolutely perfect, smooth and shiny, apart from on the very tips where I didn't properly wrap the top coat around (ANOTHER IMPORTANT TIP) and the tip of one nail which I kept using to pick at my new braces (another tip, I guess.)I've had tons of compliments on my nails and am often asked if they're my real nails because of the professional looking finish and the length they're now at. I've seen a lot of people saying you NEED the expensive official shellac lamps but from just one experience i'm calling that out as rubbish and an utter waste of money.

Worth the buy.
Honestly if you’re considering buying this, buy it. I had mine done at the salon costing me £34. I bought this and a set of colours for £40 and it’s amazing it works amazingly, the timer is very helpful. If you find that it’s tacky don’t touch it carry on with your process and then at the end I used cheap baby wipe and wiped the residue and it’s just amazing worth the buy. Only thing that I would I dislike is the bulbs I suppose it’s better that it allows you to buy new ones but putting them there isn’t any instructions oh how other than wait for a click.

UV Lamp
I purchased this UV lamp in order to do my nails home and save money on a professional manicure. A base coat and top coat were also within this deal. I found that the bulbs didn't seem to give off much heat (not sure if they should or not) and I had to place my hand under the lights, running the timer several times. Even after ten minutes or so the nails still felt 'tacky'. Not as good as a professional manicure, but ok for a quick fix. I will persevere, as practice makes perfect.

Amazing results!
Have used this five times now. Fantastic. Changed my life! Bit OTT to say this - but for the price of 1-2 salon sessions you can do the job easily yourself. The Blue Sky gel polishes are good - the neon pink one I have lasts two weeks with no chips - unbelievable! Tricky to get off but I have found soaking in normal acetone based remover for a few minutes, then using the metal scraper, works (repeat process a few times). I have tried this product with normal Maybelline Polish and other non gel polishes, plus the gel top and base coats - it works fine but only lasts around a week instead of two weeks. Still fantastic compared to normal polish only! Don't forget the lint free wipes to take off the residue. Am just trying the one step gel polish today (no base or top coat needed) - seems good, and no wipes needed either - not yet sure how many days this will last. Thoroughly recommended!

Very big.
The item was much bigger than expected and I can’t return it or even enquire about it.
