I purchase this SS strip to fix my sliding glass door and it fit after cutting it to size.

The replacement track arrived quickly and was well packaged in a secure shipping tube. I was a little disappointed in how flimsy the metal was. It bent when trying to cut it with a hacksaw where I was holding it with my hand. Able to bend it back to workable however, and used an oscillating saw to cut the second one for my other door. To compensate for the flimsiness I used a Loctite Epoxy for some more sturdiness rather than the recommended silicone. I simply applied a thin layer to the bottom of the flipped over new piece sitting along the old track. It areas where dips were present in the old track I simply added more epoxy to those areas to almost fill the new track. It went on fairly easy though I was stressed because the epoxy sets in five minutes--I started on one end and hammered down with a piece of wood on the rack to protect it with a rubber mallet. As I went I found the piece rotating off to one side but found by hitting this with the wood/mallet it easy rotated into place. I did find it helpful to have a second person holding the far end of piece and help guide it and to make sure if it rotated off midline it was to the outside where I could hammer it easily. Along with new rollers it works like brand new. Will have to wait and see if takes the dips of the old track but after 1 week so far so good.

I saved a ton of money with this product. Rather than pay someone to replace the tracks for my sliding glass door, I used this product instead and no my sliding glass door works like new! No more bumpy, loud opening door movements, it’s a smooth and quiet as can be! When installing you may need to cut to size, a rubber mallet and silicon.

Have realistic expectations. This repair product is the least intrusive so it's not going to be the most adhesive. My slider track was worn down in several areas along the track creating "dips" which caused my slider to stop making it difficult for my wife and kids to open/close. This track cover bridges the worn gaps and our slider glides much smoother. You don't have to be mechanically inclined to install as this is a snap-on cap over the slider track. My track was so worn that the track is not evenly shaped and when the slider goes over the covered gaps it causes the cap to move. I slightly crimped this snap-on cap in a few spots which mitigated most of the movement. Overall this a great product for the price to do a quick-, easy repair. I've seen this product being sold for 3 times the cost.
