Got for my daughter, after 10 swings and a few hitting behind the mat tore to 2 eye holes that anchors it down. Cool concept but for a hacker not good.

Great for beginners
This golf training mat helps you easily see your swing path. As a beginner, it is really helpful to see your swing and how it contacts with the ground. This will help with your consistency in your swing. Additionally to golf, I have seen this mat used in baseball applications for catchers where u can see your glove path and working up to the ball.

Easily shows your stroke!
So my parent's have a small golf practice area in their backyard and I've decided to pick up the sport again. It is winter here, so I haven't had the chance to try this outside, there will probably be an update when I do.Good: I love that it easily shows your stroke line and that you can use it on the diagonal as well as straight. It easily shifts the sequins even if you only brush the mat. I do love that the mat shows the yellow lines even when all of the sequins are folded over - so a swing shows the angle even after being "turned over". I like the multiple types of anchoring - stakes for outdoor use and double sided velcro for carpeting. The velcro tie is a bonus to keep it wrapped for easy movement. Not as good - keep in mind, I haven't swung a club in a decade - The mat isn't very large. That's an average pair of kitchen scissors next to it, so it's less than 2 feet of "workable" space. You do have to brush it at a fairly specific height to get the sequins to turn over. Too deep and you just drag the mat, to high and they don't turn. If you put this on carpet, make sure it's not high pile - it causes it to rock and you don't get as clean of a stroke and can pull the mat.I love the idea. I can't wait until spring comes around and we can actually use this outside and let my parent's actually put this thing through its paces rather than my fumblings in my living room.

Fragile
The construction appears to be too thin for iron practice. 4 or 5 contacts with iron on initial trial out of the box resulted in 2 inch rent. I have a similar item at another site which is built on a thick rubber mat which works fine. This product needs to be re-thought.

A must for anyone trying to improve their game
I have a hard time getting out to the range as often as I would like, but this allows me to practice in my back yard and really focus on my swing path. Great for seeing where you strike the ball and follow through with your swing path, and easy to reset each time. I would definitely recommend using the small stakes included to hold it down on the ground. Makes it much easier to swing through and to reset the mat.Used multiple times and seems to be holding up very well, even given my tendency to 'chunk' the ball and dig a larger divot.

Broke after 5 swings
Don’t waste your money! While the concept is pretty cool and the color changing pad works well, the stakes and grommets ripped out and isn’t repairable.PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY
