This heating pad was initially very nice but only lasted one season before it stopped working. Our dogs did not chew/destroy it in any way- but the pad just stopped heating.One other concern is that the pad itself is very slick and stiff- hard for little doggies to get a grip to lay on. I would not buy this again.

I rated this as four (4) stars. The longer we have it the better I like the heating pad. At the very beginning I was ready to return it due to the terrible smell and the warnings on the packaging. It took some time for the smell to go away. Our elderly dog uses it nightly after her last walk of the day. It is a very low warm heat that helps keep her warm and cozy.

NOT AS ADVERTISEDThis is listed as having a metal cord/covered cord. THIS is ONLY a plastic cord and the "cover" that is supposed to keep your pets safe is only a "plastic cored-winder" .In addition, it does NOT turn off automatically!

The "pet parents" thought this would be just the thing for the household cats. They thoroughly checked it out and seem to have decided it is not for them. The three star review represents the cats' minions, not those of the cat. Their opinion seems to be one of indifference. Oh well, just like the giving of gifts.."it was the thought".

UPDATE - Very pleased with Zikki customer service. When I wrote them about the fact it that it quit working after 2 months, they quickly sent me a replacement. For $24, I don't expect perfection so I was pleased they honored their guaranteed. My pets and I are happy with this purchase.

When I first got this product, I was not happy with it at all. I tried it again a couple of weeks later and found it was working well. I don't know what changed, but it is working well now. The dogs seen to enjoy it now. Is, in all fairness, I would raise the earlier rating of 1 star to 4 star.

My grandpuppy Yorkie loves her warming pad. She's 13 and I think it feels really good to her. I got the smaller size so it doesn't completely cover her bed and she can lay on either the warmer side or cooler side, she has options 😊

Puppy loved it first night, felt like it kept him warm. Unfortunately he chewed through the 'steel' chord, which was actually only a thin black plastic covering. Rated one star for false advertising but would work for cats or a better trained puppy!
