This is a lovely flip-a-squishie, perfect as part of a birthday gift, beautifully soft, great value for money, I'm not sure about durability as it hasn't been played with yet. It looks well put together & sturdy enough

My sister brought one from b&m for the same price it was much bigger so I would say your octopus is good it just needs to be bigger for the cost
