Since the pandemic I have been cutting my husband’s hair. Over time I’ve acquired several items that aid in making it easier and more comfortable for both of us. I’ve considered purchasing a brush for a while now, but it hasn’t been high on my priority list. Heck, smacking him around the face and neck is a good outlet! Just kidding! I have been using a shaving brush that he doesn’t use because it’s too soft. When I found this brush, I decided to add a new tool to my arsenal. Never having used an actual barber brush I assumed the shaving brush was pretty much the same thing. Well, I was wrong. This brush is nice and plush and is much fuller than what I was using. The handle is a nice size to hold and when I brush his neck and/or face it has a nice swing so that it takes little to no effort to brush and is much more effective in dusting away hair from around his face and neck. The wood and bristles seem to be good quality. It does kind of smell funny, and I hope that goes away. It isn’t terrible but it isn’t great. The bristles are synthetic and do create a certain amount of static which is kind of annoying but hasn’t been a real issue. I just keep a can of static guard handy. I can’t compare this brush with others since I’m not a professional and I’ve never had one before, but I can say that it does a great job.
