It is the BEST portable sound machine! I considered trying a different brand, but the product reviews on them all said would last a few hours-a day. This sound machine lasts WEEKS, playing all night long, and for every nap. And it's just AAA batteries! It can get very loud, or play softly. The glow in the dark buttons are very subtle, so it won't keep baby up, but you can see what buttons they are when you look closely. There are 3 different white noise options (baby's favorite is the rain as it's similar to our Hatch we keep at home. I really like the waves), a heartbeat, and two classical songs. Love all the options available on it. The removable handle is sturdy and nice.Overall, this is the VERY BEST sound machine for traveling, and if I loose this one I will buy it again. And if I find the old one I will keep it, because doesn't hurt to have two!
