ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. ALL OF IT.
After a bit of trial and ERROR with “blind purchases” of fragrances, reading product descriptions, reviews, and being drawn in by some really nice, luxurious and exotic packaging, only to open them up and say, “Nope”… Too spicy, too synthetic, too sweet, to old manish, or old ladyish, which is what can happen when hanging out in this price range…HOWEVER, this little pack of four neat simple tins evoked a resounding “YESSSS!” as soon as I slid the first one open with my thumb.DO KEEP IN MIND THAT ALL FRAGRANCE IS HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE, SO OF COURSE, THIS IS JUST ME:I rubbed a bit of sandalwood on my wrist, then vetiver on my other wrist, then clary sage on my beard, and cedar/pine on my neck, while my wife was shaking her head from across the room. I just sat there and relaxed into a very subtle harmonizing of these soft tones, saying “YESSSS!” with almost every inhalation. It’s all so mellow and earthy, with just the right amount of sweetness and “clean”, and feels really nice on the skin, that I wish they sold 5 Gallon containers of each scent. As I write this, this hybrid mix of all four scents in my initial experiment is still gently present, with no particular note predominant, and it’s been a few hours. My wife is nodding in approval of the ambiance it has created, while advising me to try wearing one at a time.Tomorrow, I’ll try wearing just one scent for the day, and see how it goes. I plan on stocking up on these pocket sized tin gems, as I have found what I consider to be little treasures.

Two winners, one unexpected, one not my style
Just got these, have tested them for a little bit. I've used solid colognes in the past, specifically Juniper Ridge back when they called their scents "Big Sur", "Mojave", and "Siskiyou". The wax generally softer and easier to melt between your fingers than the old juniper ridge stuff I have. Makes it easier to apply. The tins are about on par with other solid colognes out there. Here's my initial feelings about the scents.Clary Sage- Nice, slightly herbal medicinal scent (in a good way) the way you expect sage to be. Wearing this one first as a test and I'm happy with it. Probably the most subtle of the scents I'd say.Vetiver- Kind of a leathery scent reminiscent of some aftershaves. I would say this is a little stronger smelling than the sage and I'm looking forward to wearing it.Sandalwood- I love sandalwood and have used a lot of sandalwood products over the years, including to shave with. This smells like vanilla. We'll see how it wears, but it smells sweet and strongly of vanilla. It isn't as strong as like... Bath & Body Works body spray for women but it reminds me of it. But it's stronger than the previous two, possibly because of the sweet scent.Cedar & Pine- Pine Sol. Strongest of the 4 by a country mile. This was the predominant smell coming from the box when it opened. This may work for some folks but basically it smells like I just mopped my floor and I don't know if I'll keep it, let alone wear it. I'm a big fan of cedar scents (I actually love Goodfellow's Cedar & Moroccan Mint shampoo) and while it's here, the pine smell just curb stomps everything.Between the Sandalwood smelling like vanilla and the pine sol tin, I'll knock a star off. However, that's me being picky.I will say that this is a subtle scent. Think of it more as an excuse to get in close than something that leaves a crop dusting when you walk by. That's how I generally prefer my colognes anyway so it works for me. Not sure how long it will last either but if it's anything like the previous solid colognes I've used, I'd expect it to last a few hours. It's not a 12 hour day kind of cologne. That being said, it's easy to refresh. Just remember to take it easy on the stuff.Don't let the 4 stars dissuade you, between the price and the scents that you get and work, it's worth a buy. And if you like and can wear the cedar & pine, then I'd say this is a 5 star buy.

Smell is clean and amazing
These smell absolutely amazing. The aroma is clean and light not over powering but enough to draw attention without the over powering smell of spray cologne. The price is awesome. These will be on my list for all the men I shop for through the holidays and birthdays.

Wonderful and affordable!
Love these im a woman but I live these so much more than spray perfumes. I love the sage and sandalwood scents the best! Lasts forever and easy to store unlike little glass bottles. However it does melt in hot summer temperatures so don't leave it in your purse in the hot car like I did!

Great scent profile, bad wax base, worse quality control
Unfortunately I cannot leave a good review for viking revolution products.I really wanted to like this product and solid cologne. I have used other solid cologne with great success however VR's product doesn't fit the snuff.1) the wax base; is too thick & doesn't melt at all between the fingers. Leaves a sticky somewhat tacky residue when applied. (Other brands formulations of wax bases melt between the fingers and are easily applied)2) Scents; although I love the scent profiles and they have a solid basis, the scents do not last as long compared to competitors like (the man brand, Fulton, duke cannon to name a few).3) quality control; I'm not a fan of VRs lack of QC/QA, I found several of the eight scents I purchased to have inconsistent scent and wax bases.4) Manufacturing; This one is the major defacto for this review and poor rating for product. All of viking revolution products apparently are manufactured in China. This cheap production of a low quality product is obviously seen not due to low cost but also due to the poor quality control and even poorer quality of the wax base.Unless VR not only addresses the wax base and scent concentration issues with this product I cannot change this review. Please shoppers be aware of what your getting for this low price.Although the scents themselves profile wise are amazing they lack depth, strength, and long lasting effect.👎🏻👎🏻
