Awesome ending to two very awesome series ^_^ Will miss them all
Right, as I have just finished reading The LAST one, The Ruby Circle, I am still trying to find coherent thoughts. Thoughts that mean more than squeals, feels, my love for all the characters… Well I will try to keep them to a minimum ^_^Also I would like to warn you that I will try to keep this as spoiler free possible. However, I assume that when you are reading this review you have read the previous books of Bloodlines and Vampire Academy.Well, I absolutely loved and adored this book! (see fail … typical fangirl reaction!) The story and plot line are really good and I think Richelle has been good in tying up some loose ends here and there. We meet Sydney and Adrian as husband and wife ‘surviving’ in the Moroi Court where they have found sanctuary as they are on the run from the Alchemists. I have always adored Adrians character in Vampire Academy but in this series he is even grown beyond Dimitri for me. Adrian went from a spoilt Royal Moroi boy to a very down to earth one with a love beyond recognition! Him and Sydney truly belong to each other and yes, even though they need to find their ways in living together, even in their strange circumstances, I still had every faith in them that they would do this and overcome this. Although not in my wildest dreams I could have predicted this ending! The quest to search for Jill continues and seems fruitless until Sydney receives a wooden box from Ms Terwilliger, or actually it comes from someone else and Ms Terwilliger brings it to Sydney within the Moroi Court. Basically Sydney and Adrian have been pining away in the Moroi Court with Sydney not really coming out and Adrian if he does come out, has to deal with loads of other annoying people. Her visit however results in one of my favourite scenes of her, Sydney and Eddie.!! I laughed!!Sydney is brilliant throughout this book, still as bright and brilliant and smart as ever but acknowledging very quickly that she’s now in a partnership with Adrian and takes his opinion in account. Very refreshing from other YA books as we aren’t reading about a stroppy teenager who gets what she wants by stamping her feet and cry!Adrian, oh Adrian – you have grown on me so much! You are brilliant, fantastic and loving and also acknowledging you are in a partnership now and have to take Sydney into consideration but also let her do what she needs to do! What a wonderful couple you both are!Everyone came looking here today without making the book or the storyline feel overcrowding; we had the Light Warriors (Nutcases), The Alchemists (Yes Zoe, I might still like you!), Marcus (Sneaky!!), Moroi, Dhampirs, Strigoi and you name it! It gives a good premises for the future as well, with some people cooperating with each other. But also lets not forget my other favourite characters: Rose and Dimitri, Eddie, Jill or Jailbait, Daniella Ivashkov (not bad a mother in law to have there Sydney!), Trey, Marcus, Declan and Neil but mostly my love will go out to the main 6. The characters were lovely written and I could feel their emotions popping off the pages.I do have to give a special mention for Daniella Ivashkov, the way she has handled the whole Sydney and Adrian situation is remarkable to say the least. Love her a little bit more for it now :)I still have a few questions remaining, but I hope they either will be resolved in hopefully one moor book from Richelle. Like a ’15-year-later’ type of book. All in all go read this amazing book! It is worth it! I would definitely recommend start reading with book one: Bloodlines, or even better start with Vampire Academy and work your way through both these series in order to get a better understanding of everyone’s situation and how it has changed from book one where we first meet Rose and Lissa to the VERY LAST ONE where we say goodbye to Sydney and Adrian! And this secret!! What a bombshell, one I like, a lot! Richelle Mead has done a perfect job here!

I cant believe its over, amazing end to an amazing series
It's been a few hours since I finished the last page and I'm still not sure how to put down in words how this book made me feel. This book starts around a month after The Silver Shadows ended, Sydrian are holed up back at Court (and living with Adrians mother) hiding from the Alchemists, and Jill is still missing with no-one any closer to finding out where she is or who took her. It isn't long before they find a way to sneak out of Court to try and track down Jill. There are more than a few surprises along the way. And I will not be spilling those secrets here, you my dear friend are gonna have to read for yourself. One had me closing the book in shock, opening the book and re-reading the entire scene again to make sure I had read it correctly before finally just staring at the page in a mixture of disbelief, shock and laughter. One of the others I kinda saw coming, I really hoped it was going to go down the way I imagined it, and I'm not gonna lie, I cried! There were many questions answered in this book but there were also some new questions asked that we didn't get a definitive answer to (see surprises above). Mead has done a fantastic job of wrapping this series up. I'm equal parts happy with the way it ended and sad that it's over. That epilogue......“I told you before, we’re the centre,” she said. “And the centre will hold.”Sydrian, oh Sydrian how I have missed you. One thing you can be sure of is now that I have the entire series in my hands I WILL be re-reading these bad boys back to back.

Sad to see the VA world come to a close but great series :)
This goes down as another book from my 2015 Reading Challenge - A book with a colour in the title. Not quite as action packed as it could have been and some places did feel like they were rushed through. Did like the witchy storyline though and the fact all the other characters from the series made an appearance at some point. Thought the last fight/rescue scene could have been made more dramatic involving the main characters more but did like how it played out.Few questions left unanswered though - Are the moroi going to be able to fight to protect themselves with the elements they conjure?, Has the law been changed so that Lissa can still be queen with or without a family relative?, Has Sonya found more ways to use Spirit? and what about the other sub characters what's happened with them - Zoe, Marcus, Angeline, Trey, Mrs Terwillger, even Alicia. Would have been nice to find out as they make a point talking about it (and them) in most of the books. The ending left things in a nice calm place which I do think the characters needed after everything they have been through in the past few books. Though I do think it should have been from Sydney's POV as that's how the series started. So that the whole story would have come full circle. All in all though I liked the series and am sad to see the VA world come to a close. But if I ever feel the need to jump back in that's what re-reads are for :)

Gutted the series is finished
Wow! I loved this series even more than Vampire Academy, really gutted it's ended but also happy with how it's ended. Although would've loved it even more if Sydney's mum and sisters were at the dinner too. Also want to know what happened to Marcus and the detainees as Sydney and Adrian split from them. Why was Chantal in the dungeon for over a year?? So many questions yet a strangely satisfying end. So good!

Please write more!
I wish this wasn't the last book. I'm just not ready to let go of the Vampire Academy characters, most of all Sydney! If you love Vampire Academy you will love Bloodlines! Forbidden romances and mysterious storylines, perfect for Vampire and Paranormal lovers!
