Thick wood
The quality of the product is sturdy. I was surprised by the size of the sections that separate the flatware. The box is heavy, which keep you from having room in the drawer. I took off the side pieces to fit in my drawer.

Pretty but not solid wood
Undoubtedly attractive but NOT solid wood. The base of the organiser is some kind of digitally printed fibreboard, not even veneer. For the price and from the description I expected solid wood and I was pretty disappointed as that was the main reason I chose it over cheaper options. The fibreboard base also had a flaw shown in the second photo. I'm keeping it as it is a perfect fit for the drawer and is otherwise what I was looking for.
