sticks and drops the powder.
It does not stick or weld. I think it is a bad quality. I do not recommend it. I bought 20 and wasted my money. The quality is bad when it is welded. It sticks and drops the powder.

They actually work... 🤯
As any welder knows, stick welding aluminium isn't really a thing. I bought these on a whim as a cheap alternative to buying a tig welder, and didn't expect much. I tried one with a 20 year old ARC welder that only had high/low settings and had no luck. So I took one to a pal that Tig welds Ali and stick weld steel for a living. He'd never head of stick welding aluminium in 25 years of welding 🧐. He tried on his ARC welder and it blew his house breaker fuse 💥. In the end I bought a brand new Parkside TIG welder for £129!! (These are excellent little machines and highly recommend for hobbyist welder). Thought I'd give these a go with the cheap Parkside welders MMA function. Hooked it up at 90A with the rod on the positive side, set a medium arc force and a medium hotstart.. only wiped the old Yamaha DTR125 exhaust end can with a tag and didn't hear it up at all... Managed to strike an arc almost immediately and managed to get a sufficient weld. I even kept going because I was kinda amazed with it. It welds so fast and hot but it actually works.

Useless for most people; will only work under very specific circumstances.
These rods will weld aluminium but only if you have the correct machine and reverse the polarity. They need an arc welder putting out circa 50 volts in order to work so your average hobbyist welder simply won't be powerful enough to be able to get them to start. Otherwise if you make sure everything is perfectly clean (with a brand new wire brush to avoid contamination), preheat the weld and have the machine set up you should be able to get something resembling a weld. Unfortunately all that faffing about and specialist equipment probably means your better off having someone else tig weld it. It's a shame this isn't made more clear on the packaging or in the description.

Useless!
I bought these rods to repair an aluminium motorcycle casing. The package said 90 Amps I tried welding at 90amps and couldn’t strike an ark so I increased the amperage to 140 amps which was the maximum for my machine but Evan at this current I still could strike a continuous ark. Therefore no welding and a complete waste of money.

You need to heat the area to be welded otherwise it won't work
Didn't notice in the writeup anything about having to heat up the area to be welded only on the packaging, as I had nothing to heat the work area it did not work for me

No pude soldar
Lo he intentado todo, raspando la lumina, calentando la pieza con soplete, con fundente y nada, no consigo hacer el arco, no los volvería a comprar.
