These adapters work in old laptops when converting to Chrome OS Flex!
If you are converting old laptops to ChromeOS Flex because they wont run Windows 11, this adapter works! It is NOT a Realtek chipset (which most are, and dont work with Chrome OS), so these work great in laptops when converted! My only "complaint" is I dont like the style with the antenna hanging off since it can be broken, and you should remove it everytime you put the laptop in a bag, but thats a small price to pay to reuse old laptops!

No range
Junk. Very little range.

Chromebook Asus worked
Worked on my Chromebook at the shopping mall and strong signal. I also designed a tube holder to avoid breaking the antenna when unplugged and in my backpack. Would recommend the manufacturer provide some case for the unit.

This LOTEKOO WIFI adapter works with Chromeos FLEX!
I've been using a Linux for my desktop OS since 2004. Throughout this time, finding hardware that works with Linux has been a challenge. I decided to find a dongle with an antenna. I needed a dongle that had kernel support as I am now using Chromeos FLEX. My first try with a different brand didn't work. Thankfully Amazon allowed a return. This LOTEKOO brand had in a short passage "this adapter also compatible with Chromebook". It worked! Just plug and play. When I boot using my Fedora 41 drive, it works too!

Works as AP for OpenWRT on Raspberry Pi
I was looking for a USB Wi-Fi adapter that can be used as an AP on a Raspberry Pi running OpenWRT. I tried quite a few, and this is the first one that worked.

Chromebook Compatible
Worked in my kids chromebook. Not the fastest but its plug and play and gets the job done for google docs or schology.Picked this up for my kids chromebook issued by the local school district. These are notorious for dropping wifi usually with the onboard card coming loose despite following some good videos showing how to help ensure the card stays connected. Usually a reboot fixes it but often it won't or worse yet, when no network the system can't save the current google doc being written. I have previously used a usb ethernet adapter but this is much more simple and can be carried in the school bag. Low cost so if it breaks or is lost, not a huge thing.

Does the job, barely.
Very cheaply made. I needed this because the house we moved into had a wired security system with a computer monitor and so to see the video feed on the phone app I had to have a way to make the receiver wireless. This does that, but it's super cheaply made. I've had to wrap tape around it because it literally cracks in half and opens to all the components inside. I have no idea how it still works, but it does.

For Mods: Good, For Normal Wifi Use: Poor
I only bought this for a homemade wifi pineapple mod with a mango GL-MT300N-V2 router. For that, it works just fine. Any other use, I would not recommend it. Also, there are other versions with the same RT5370 chipset needed that are far cheaper but I needed this quickly and I chose speed over cost.
