A thorough and very worthwhile book to work with for improving one's drawing skills. Appropriate for all levels.

As a beginner I find this book very comprehensive and also reasonably priced.

A little bit more instruction would be good. Left to your own devices to some extent as if it's accepted that you have some prior knowledge of drawing. Ie I can't get the basket right. I tried it twice & gave up. Too complicated for my eyes. Somebody that can draw said I should have placed perspective lines in first. Maybe this part could have been illustrated on the basket. Also, how to get the 'weave' right. Anyway... everything else has come out ok up to that point.Would recommend.

This book has really upped my game. This book really brings home the point that talent is overrated!Been drawing for few months now consistently but with no real direction. This book from the start teaches you the very fundamentals of drawing. It even changes the way you see the world, it has allowed me to see things from an artistic perspective.Awesome book if you can't draw at all, give this a go!

The content of this book is actually very good for a beginner like myself, very good explanations of a wide variety of topics. However on the first look through the book pages started to fall out because the binding is of such poor quality. I am going to learn a lot from this book but I will have sellotape ready to stick the pages back in.

Muy buen libro para empezar a dibujar, es más grande de lo que creí. Buenos consejos y ejercicios. El único problema es que solo está en inglés pero con un nivel intermedio se puede leer ya que usa un lenguaje simple

Ich würde dieses Zeichenbuch weiterempfehlen. Auf den ersten Blick sieht es vielleicht nicht besonders aus, aber es enthält eine Fülle von hilfreichen Tipps.

it is indeed a very complete book, a wonderful primer for anyone who wants to start drawing or is trying to pick up the habit again (like me). the book includes basic shapes, figure drawing, caricatures, landscapes and still life; and probably i left behind important bits of the book in that enumeration, these ones are just the ones that catched my eye. also in the short time that i have practiced i can see and improvement in my way of drawing, even if its simple shapes.something to take into account before buying this book is that the way of teaching is not step to step, or at least i would not describe that way; the book gives written instruction (which are incredibly easy to understand and follow) and a picture of whatever you are suppose to draw. this is a very different way to learn that i am accustomed by my Autodidacticism.and also, i must admit that i wont take the pen as the book intends, i am too accustomed to hold the pen, the brush, the soldering iron or the scalpel the same way; but that just my personal pet-peeve, you may improve to hold the pen in the specific way the book intends, i don't.
