Works like a charm!
I purchased this unit in January of this year (2023) and set it up in a few minutes. I love the convenience of wireless Android Auto that this unit provides, which enables Google Maps, Spotify, WhatsApp, Messenger and several other apps on my car screen. It worked flawlessly for about 6 months and then stopped working. I contacted Julie at Ottocast and after sending me troubleshooting instructions that did not fix the problem, she kindly replaced my A2 Air with a new unit. I received the second unit and had the same problem (my car could not "find" my phone to continue install. I again contacted Julie and she sent me the upgraded version, the A2 Air Pro. After fiddling around for a while (and using the Ottopilot App which is a great help) I discovered that the problem was not the unit, but the Android Auto App on my phone. As per the Ottopilot instructions, I enabled the developer mode in my phone's Android Auto App and checked that Wireless Android Auto was enabled. It was, but I checked the box to disable it and enabled it again and voila, the A2 Air Pro connected immediately. There have been a lot of returns of this item, but I guarantee you it has been user error or failure to follow the instructions closely that caused people to return this product. When installed correctly, it connects to my phone seconds after my car screen comes on. I highly recommend this product and the excellent customer service behind it!

If I could give ten stars I would.
I bought two, one for my father and one for me.We both have Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra's that are around a year and a half old so the charging slot is worn a little over time. They charge fine but disconnect intermittently with bumps and turns on the roads when connected with a charging cable. These were so easy to connect. And have worked like a charm right away. It takes a half a minute to connect after starting the vehicle but that is no inconvenience. It has only been a couple of weeks so there is that caveat, but so far I am thrilled with the item.We both have Genesis G80s and have no clue as to why they went with wired android auto connections instead of bluetooth. Such an unwise decision. It is so much more convenient to simply get into the car and not even have to think about a connection.Don't think twice. One of the better buys that I have made in quite a while.I cannot recommend this product enough.

Worthless
How this is getting good reviews is beyond me. This thing is a piece of garbage. It took 10 minutes to get it to finally work with my car’s Android Auto. Then it worked for not even a full day and now it won’t connect at all. Returning it asap.

Great addition for the car
Works very well. I got it save wear and tear on my phone USB-C port.Android Auto comes up marginally slower than the direct-wire connection, but quite tolerable (I have an older head unit). The great thing is no additional applications are required - just plug-in, pair the phone, and it works. If you update the firmware, read and follow the on-line instructions precisely. There are several back and forth steps with phone settings and web-site which must be followed. But this is better than having to load a special-purpose app on my phone to handle the process. And I only updated the firmware because ... OCD ... latest firmware ;)Downside - phone doesn't charge. I might add a wireless charger to the car as well. One hiccup - if you have other bluetooth devices connected to your phone (i.e bluetooth earbuds) the Ottocast may not autoconnect Android Auto. If I turn off my headset, the Ottocast connects and starts Android Auto after a short delay.

It works!
Ok, so easy set up. Connects rather quickly and consistently. Build quality not bad at all. Looks, kinda cool. Was a much cheaper option than buying a new infotainment head at this point (800-1000+)So far I'm pleased with this item.

Works Great in My 2019 Acura MDX with my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
I've probably bought and returned half a dozen Android Auto wireless adapters. This was the first one that actually worked without any hassle. This is wirelessly linking my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with my 2019 Acura MDX. It took about 30 seconds to make the initial connection (during which time I was already starting to pack up the contents of the box to return another fail,) but then it connected, and it's worked seamlessly for several days now without issues. I am happy AF couldn't be happier and the price was so reasonable. This review is so positive it's gonna sound fake, but it's legit and so is this AA adapter. Just follow the really simple instructions in the box and be a tad bit patient and 💥 wireless and wonderful! Hope it works as well for everyone else!

Doesn’t connect properly 30% of the time
When it works, it works. But when it doesn’t, it either just won’t connect, or connect without video signal, or even sometimes freeze the infotainment system of my Nissan Altima. I’ve tried upgrading the firmware but it didn’t help.

Great Product!
Ottocast Wireless Android Auto Adapter is a great product! I installed this on my 2019 Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra (FLTRU) with the Boom!™ Box GTS audio system, and it works flawlessly. The install was simple and straight forward. Prior to installing the Ottocast Wireless Android Auto Adapter I had to run a USB cable from the right side of the fairing, where the USB plug is tucked neatly in the fairing cubby hole, to where my phone was mounted on the left handle bar. Not a good option. Now, after installing the Ottocast Wireless Android Auto Adapter, every time I start the bike, my phone is automatically connected to the Android Auto feature in the Boom!™ Box GTS audio system. Thank you for a great product!
