I noticed on the pcb there is 2 areas labeled usb and another hdmi1. could i relocate the connectors from the side to the top?
blue light is on but screen remains dark. is it broken?
I can’t find a 5v 2a so would a 5v 3a be safe to power the monitor?

Perfect for my project

I love this screen so much I had to buy another. I used it in a Pelican Case "Cyberdeck" build and the touch screen with decent speakers made all the frills easy to integrate. Wonderful screen for doing 3D printing projects.

In the Amazon posting it says it's measurements are 8"D x 6"W x 0.3"H... it is actually 8" x 5"

Product works and looks good, it would have been more helpful if the measurements in the Amazon post were accurate as I needed a display that was 8" x 6"

Superb display very clear and bright.

The clarity and quality of this display way out performs others I’ve used in the category. It’s bright and crisp and exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds and considering I purchased it on sale for like $60; it’s easy to see why this thing gets 5 stars from me. Truly a wonderful display the touch is accurate and responsive. it came well packaged. My only criticism is the connectors being on the edge makes you have to consider them when making a case or installing somewhere.also It makes them vulnerable to getting snagged on something and breaking the connectors off the pcb. Soemthing I can live with though considering how good the screen looks. I hope future versions utilize a type C usb connector or perhaps two one for touch data from PC and the second for externally powering it. At times I wonder if the pi isn’t able to provide the full voltage/amperage it needs to run as the pi itself is requiring most of the power coming in from the 3A power supply.I often see the screen blank out and display the infamous raspberry pi low voltage indicator in the corner of the screen. When using it with other setups I’ve not experienced an issue but I have it installed as a infotainment system in my rv dash run by a raspberry pi that’s using a 12v to 5v3amp usb buck converter to power it. I’ve definitely noticed it has a hard time keeping up with the voltage requirement especially if I try to run it with the vehicle key turned to accessory position rather than with the engine running.

Bang for your buck

Works great. I bought it for my pi clone and ended up using it on my mini pc and a 2nd display to my larger 33 inch gaming monitor. It works perfectly. It doesn't really come with a full outer shell. But if you do buy this for a pi it has threaded holes on the back so it will bolt right up. I did see right after I bought it the price went up 20$ for that I would like to see an out shell. But I just printed my own. And even with that hike I would buy again if needed another screen that size.

Check the package when received

Not actually a touch screen. Spent two hours trouble shooting drivers and took a second look at the box. Hoping to get my money back

Be careful and check first

The Screen is crisp and fast , the touch screen works with Windows 10 and Raspberry PI5I could not get it to work on other Raspberry PI or Apple ComputerSo check what you have and make sure you got a 5A power supply ! 3A may or may not work I got mixed results.

Using this with Raspberry Pi OS

Works great. Great price. I was initially having an issue with my boot screen being too zoomed in. After book up screen everything looked great. To fix the boot screen issue. I went into boot config and changed the overscan_right to 32 and the overscan_top to 32. That adjusted the raspberry icons to not go off the screen and adjusted the right side as well. All of the overscan settings were originally 16. After changing those two overscan settings everything looks fine. Thank you!

Raspberry Pi, suitable

The 10-inch screen is suitable for the Raspberry Pi as a secondary screen. There are four screw ports on the back of the screen to fix the Raspberry Pi, but you must use the screws you purchased yourself to increase the height, or use the accessories screws of the screen. So that the sd card cannot be pulled out. The disadvantage is that the motherboard behind it is exposed and must be used with care, otherwise the electronic components will be easily knocked off. Overall, it's a very good secondary screen
