I like it and I just tried it out today with my dog. The bracket is thick plastic, looks a little cheap, but so far, it held up my 10.5 lb Yorkie (5 kg/~11 lbs is the maximum carry weight anyway). At first, the carrier shifted when I turned my bicycle, so it would dip and rub against the front wheel--yikes! However, there's a round silver cap at the end of the bottom screw, which I think due to the smoothness of the cap, it caused the problem of slippage. While making adjustments, the cap fell off. At first I thought, "Gah, what a cheap screw!" Now, I think it had to be removed in order for the screw end to sit flush against the bike frame and provide resistance. There's nothing on the instructions about this, however. This is my guess.I hope this carrier lasts for awhile. I'll see and I will update if anything goes wrong, but I find it practical for light grocery shopping and transporting small, well-behaved pets. See below for more info.** For pets, there are no safety straps. You either have to trust s/he behaves and sits or you can wrap the leash around the handle with enough slack for your pet to not choke, of course. I'm sure there is a better alternative, but I just tried this out today and might look into finding something that's more secure in case my dog sees a squirrel, haha.The bike I used this basket on is the one-speed Sixthreezero Around The Block Women's 26-Inch Single Speed Cruiser Bike.

I was looking for a basket to take my 8 lb chihuahua on bike rides with me. After reading reviews I decided on this one. The instructions are mostly pictures so my first install was all wrong. However, I finally figured it out (all in all, probably took me 20 minutes to install all wrong, uninstall, then install correctly). The only downside would be the instructions, but if you’re handy at all - you can figure it out. The pieces are well made and when installed correctly, don’t move (VERY secure). The pieces that attach to the handle bars are awesome. The basket actually clips into the bracket on the handle bars, so it easily is removed/attached. When attached, I don’t worry about my dog falling out. The basket itself has a hard bottom and doesn’t “give” at all on the bottom. The top has a drawstring so the contents can be put inside without worry of them falling out. For my purposes, I put a small padded disc on the inside for my dog to make her more comfortable. The basket also has soft handles that Velcro and a small pocket in front. I’ve used Amazon for years and I’d say this is the best purchase I’ve ever ever made. Even better than I thought it would be! Great price, great quality.For those reviews saying it doesn’t lock or “gives,” it is not being installed correctly. It is not a defect in the product. As I stated before, the instructions are mostly pictures, which is unfortunate. But the basket has a great connection to the bracket that installs onto the handlebars. It definitely locks and is definitely secure. There’s also a piece that’s meant solely for stabilizing the basket away from the front tire. Take your time. Install it correctly and enjoy.

This was a great buy. Very simple to attach to the bike, and even on my roadbike it fit snugly onto the bar. My U-Lock slips perfectly into the front pocket, and I can even fit my 15in laptop in this on my way to work every day. Easy to pop off and take inside when you arrive at your destination, I really think this was the perfect solution to whether I should buy a basket, rack, bags, etc.

This is a huge upgrade from my previous basket! I had one of those cutesy wicker baskets with the belt straps, but with no support, it would just drag along my front tire. I had tried other baskets before, but my Liv bike has weird handle bars that would not allow for anything other than adjustable straps. But this changes everything! It is easy to assemble and it even has an adjustable support so it won't weigh down with its contents. The quick release function is a bonus too, so I can take my bike on trips and not have to hassle with removing the screws to get the bag off. Great product, very versatile and sturdy!

This is a great basket. It’s easy to install, and it has extra material at the top so that actually you can put all you things in there and they won’t fall out. It has a drawstring, so that if you’re just stopping for a few minutes you can pull that closed and people can’t see what’s in your basket or easily take it. It also has an inner pocket with a zipper where you can store things. The only thing I don’t like about it is that the aluminum frame is very fragile, and with my bike fell over a couple of times and bent, and when I tried to straighten it out it just snapped. So you need to be really careful that you don’t let your bike fall on it.

Husband got this for our 9-1/2 lb Bichon to ride along. I put a small blanket in bottom for comfort. Easy to attach to bicycle. Good price. Came quickly. Happy to recommend

I love this thing. I have a very anxious puppy who likes to jump out. With the cinch cover she stayed safe and cozy in the basket while we rode. Very easy to install and easy to take the basket off and with you

I hope this becomes available again. Very functional. I leave the mount on my handlebars and easily add the basked when needed. Plenty of clearance over the front wheel.I recently took a 3 mile trip with the basket overloaded. Definitely not recommended! But the basket held up just fine. The mount is plastic, but it's a solid block.A very good product!

The basket is OK, does a job for light things up to 5kg. if the object is heavier then it feels it is not stable. I have been using it for around 2 months and it is still OK. When this one breaks, I will purchase a mesh basket that is a bit more robust.

Not happy.. the item shown in the Amazon website did not have the logo FUNSPORT on the basket! I was not expecting a logo as I did not wanted a plain black basket as pictured on the website!

I LOVE IT!!!Light, sturdy, easy to put on and take off. Have not used with power yet, but I cycle to work every day and it fits all my additional bits. Great buy.

Used this for a mountain bike. After the first use I needed to tighten the bars. On doing this the screw heads popped out making it useless.
