Zero effect for blocking sounds like dog barking, construction sound etc. Might help a little with the reverb at most.Product arrived in good condition with no holes that other reviewers faced. But there is no point for buying it other than good looks.Beware, this product offers no returns.

Use foam if you're recording a podcast or something and you want a little less reverb when your speaking in your room. For music I wouldn't recommend this. Better invest in rockwool and proper bass traps.
