French ToastGirls' Kick Pleat Scooter

My daughter is 8 years old, about 54.5" tall and 80 something pounds. I did not check out the sizing chart before purchasing, mainly because I had been checking a lot of different skirts online, and was going off the assumption that a size 12 is a 12 is a 12 (I'm a guy, so maybe I get a pass?)She has size 12 Walmart brand skorts right now that she swears are too tight. She's a little sensitive to tight clothes, and is always trying to stretch things out to loosen them up. So I ordered the 14/16 of this skort. It was huge on her. Like maybe 3 to 4 extra inches on the waist, fall off without even trying big. Based on their size chart, which I looked at afterwards, she would be in the 10/12 range, so I ordered one of those to try. I'm hoping they are a little larger than the Walmart size 12. I like the Walmart ones, they just aren't carrying them right now because they are not in season.For these, they look well made, and while a darker shade of blue than her current skirts, I think will still be acceptable at school. They are darker then the picture on here. Maybe more like a midnight blue? I attached a photo with her old skirt on top to see the size difference. When my fiance sent me the picture I thought they sent me the black ones by mistake, but in person you can tell they are blue.Fingers crossed the new pair I get tomorrow are the right size.

I LOVE this skirt. And I hope to buy more in the future. The length and fit seems just right. My girls love that this skirt allows for so much movement and play, the material is so soft and strechy. My favorite thing about it though is I can wash and dry and fold it and it can be worn again. No wrinkles. No ironing. I'm a happy mom.

This skirt is great for the uniform my daughter has to wear. It doesn't really wrinkle, and it pulls off and on so she can easily go to the bathroom.The only issue I had is that it runs large. My daughter was in a 4T, and that is what I bought, but it was too big. It falls down on her while she runs. I ordered the 3T, and it is still bigger than it should be. I'd definitely recommend sizing down a size.

My daughter wore these skirts almost every day last year and they wore so well that she can wear all of them again this year. They are comfortable, durable and stain resistant and never wrinkle. I bought the next size up this year and they are a little big so I just put in a little stitch in the back, no big deal, and she’ll grow into them.

This skirt is comfortable and stretches but keeps its shape. It is quite big. We got a size 7 and have to size down.

The sizing of this skirt is way too big than the standard size. Order a size down. The elastic on the back definitely gives more room to stretch and fit well. Pull-on feature is super convenient. Quality of fabric material is okay and lightweight. I like that it doesn't need to be ironed. Just take it out immediately from the dryer and hang when it's done drying.

These skorts are very nice. My seven year old granddaughter loves the way they fit. Great material comes out of the dryer wrinkle free. Wash after wash and still look like new. I highly recommend them.

I love all of French Toasts skirts. These ones in particular are nice because they have a stretchy waist band. My daughter has had some of their skirts for 2 years and could keep wearing them with little to no fabric wear and tear (but she’s growing so they have to be replaced). I typically purchase these directly from French Toast but they were cheaper here which was great! Seriously could not rate this brand higher - they’re worth the full price of $20-$30 each but again nice that I was able to get them cheaper.

I was contemplating ordering the next size up, but good thing I didn't because these run very large. Good quality so I will save it in the closet for next year's uniform.
