THE (not so) LITTLE BOOK OF ASTRONOMICAL CURIOSITIES: and Explanations of Celestial Phenomena

It was an incredible pleasure to read this book. The astronomy topics chosen are interesting, the writing is lucid and engaging, and the explanations of celestial phenomenon are superb. It is loaded with excellent images and diagrams, and the supplementary math provided on selected topics is easy to follow, and very helpful.There is a lot of fascinating material in here which is discussed with a level of detail and clarity I have not seen anywhere else. Astronomical Curiosities is one of the brightest gems in my astronomy library (which has swollen now to around 2000+ books), and I plan on rereading it and then keeping it close by for long term reference. It is a unique and notable contribution, and I have no doubt anyone with an interest in astronomy will enjoy reading it, and learn a great deal in the process.
