Great car false missing battery
There is a second battery already in the car. This car is amazing. Really Fast has two different settings, 70 or 100%. Definitely recommend buying a second set of batteries 2000mah. And definitely get the protection plan, because it's plastic, it's gonna break.

Durable run easy to use.
My son who is 9 loves this car. I would recommend getting the bigger battery as he wanted to play with it longer. Hasn't broken and is durable. Easy to use and I don't need to help him with it.

Pretty Good Entry Level Hobby Grade RC
I got this for my 5 year old son to bash around in the park by our house. It's mainly a bunch of grass without any jumps or anything crazy, just little bumps, moguls and a few trees. He has a blast with it and plays with it every day. He's always waiting for me to arrive home from work so we can go drive our trucks around together. The nice thing about this is it isn't too fast for a young kid to handle and does have a 70% speed setting. He got used to that pretty quick and we bumped it up to 100%.I bought this RC knowing that eventually something would break, and I would be able to fix it rather than toss the whole thing in the trash like toy grade RC cars. I didn't think I would run into my first break so quickly though. First, one of the plastic CVDs broke, which I replaced with metal ones on all four corners. Then I assume I accidentally stripped one of the front steering block screw holes out (easy mistake with tiny metal self tapper into a plastic part) doing that repair, so I lost two screws (original and then replacement) and ended up replacing all four corners again with metal parts. It is way nicer than any toy grade RC you can buy, but still fairly fragile since the first break happened just bouncing around through grass. It's nice that you can fix any broken part, but eventually the parts add up and you'd be better off just springing for a little bit nicer model from the start with hex head screws and more metal bits. Plastic is fine on certain parts due to the flexibility that is needed, but in other areas, metal is much better. This is a great buy if you're stretching your budget. If you can afford a slightly nicer model, go for that instead. The ARRMA Granite Grom is what I would recommend over this if I could go back.

Best RC for kids - with a fatal flaw
There’s really nothing out there that comes close to this kinda value. This car looks great, is well built (to hold), great battery life, steers great and is really quick. It holds decent air time during jumps and my 6yo has enjoyed driving it since he was 4-something.But it has a fatal flaw… the stub CVDs break, like many others here have said. The car still will move but on three wheels instead of four and thus won’t steer or climb well.Looks like MJX have identified this and released replacement all-metal CVDs but they aren’t a standard replacement and I hear of chatter that swapping the differential letting the new CVDs work.I just wish MJX would sell more of the original classic ones for $5 a set and let people order 20 of them to not have to worry about anything else. Not sure how many amateur RC fans are going to want to figure out how to replace a diff and it’s clear at the $99 price point that this car is largely for the amateur RC fans. That said, just ordered my third - L! Hope I can find replacement plastic ones or I’ll just have to get the new diffs.
