Two Favorite Things!
This is fairly unique for a solve the case! We love doing puzzles and the jigsaw puzzle by itself was fun to do. The murder mystery part was fun to solve and the jigsaw played an important part in that. We really enjoyed this! It was a new experience not to have tons of papers, pictures, and documents to go through to solve a case! I hope Hunt a Killer does more of these!

Fun !
This was a fun puzzle, my hubby and I did it together while on vacation at the beach, it took us two days to assemble and solve the puzzle, we almost had it... lol

Puzzle has no reference picture, and the mystery does not need the puzzle
3.5/5The puzzle is dynamic and fun, but be aware that there is no reference picture, so you will be doing it completely blind, and it is not designed like a typical puzzle you would do without reference (distinct, recognizable sections). This makes this an advanced puzzle for people familiar with solving them, not a casual puzzle for people who like murder mysteries. The instructions tell you to throw away the "extra" pieces with the center blacked out, but I would recommend saving them since they fit in the six missing piece spaces and will keep you from wondering if there is an actual missing piece until you solve it, and since they are blacked out it will not ruin the mystery. This puzzle is focused mostly on the puzzle, and you can solve the mystery without it, but saving the mystery till the end adds to the fun.In the future I would recommend that these puzzles be made with a reference image that is similar to the finished puzzle but not exactly like it to avoid giving away the mystery, like the Ravensburger escape puzzles which feature puzzles with key elements that are transformed or left off, like text and surprise elements.Overall it was fun but with a couple key flaws. I would still recommend buying, as it is a fun puzzle.

Interesting game/puzzle. The puzzle took a bit to do, but once done we solved the mystery
This was actually a lot of fun. We solved the puzzle on our own time so that took awhile. Once we had the puzzle solved, it just took a careful reading of the log book and thinking through the alibis and getting the "blanked out" puzzle pieces. Deciphering what they meant were the keys to solving the crime. After the puzzle was done, the "figuring it out" took about thirty minutes. Still it was a fun twist on the standard "whodunit" game.

Loved it!!!
This took us several days to complete, but the entire family loved it!!!! Kids read the clues, the ABC box was fun to find pieces, and easy to check solution when done. We wish there were more of these!!!!

Not quickly built
Puzzle takes more than the time it says it should.

Fun introduction and good customer support
This was our first foray into the HuntAKiller product line. Our puzzle came with a very badly damaged piece and customer service took care of the issue. As a result of the great service we brought 3 more of their premium boxes! The puzzle was as fun to do and as you solve clues you unlock pieces that help you solve the puzzle and the mystery. Great product for a date night in!

Murder was easy to solve, puzzle was the hard part
I haven't done a puzzle without a reference before- so this was the hard part that took several hours across a few days to complete (which is standard with 1000-piece puzzles). Once the puzzle was solved, it took about 5-10 minutes to solve the murder. However, I liked it a lot!!

Pretty fun experience!
This is my second Hunt a Killer game and it's very fun to spread out the jigsaw puzzle and put it together. I managed to solve the mystery and puzzle alone after a few days but it's rather challenging without a reference image to guide you and the pieces that all look the same. The crime was almost too easy to solve, it kinda gives it away with some of the puzzle pieces giving away the answer and punching through each answer box until you get the 'right' piece (there are 'false' pieces that correspond to the questions in the police book but it's kinda easy to sus out which one is the right one). I already solved the crime before the puzzle was even done, but it was rewarding to see the final image without help. It's not the most challenging case except for the puzzle, so id recommend it for a rainy day or a night in
