Great cable, connectors could use some work
Mostly good. The color changing aspect works well. The cable itself it's braided and feels strong. The connectors are heavy duty metal and large.The color changing has been helpful many times. It's nice to see the blue light and know the quick charge is working.The problem I have is that because the connectors are so large, they're easy to bump loose from the phone. I found it difficult to hold the phone without the cable falling out on its own. A loose connector that's so big doesn't stay put easily. I have to put it down to charge very gently so the connector doesn't come loose.As long as you're just using it to charge overnight on a table, it's fine. Just don't use it in a car out somewhere it could easily get bumped.

As expected
The cords works great. I love the smart cord feature about amps according to device, but if it isn't a smart device you plug it into(such as a battery bank) it will give it the lowest possible output. Which means it takes forever to charge unsmart devices. Just a heads up.Other than that it's great.

Excellent iPhone/mophie recharging cable choice
I am using this cable to recharge my iPhone 8 Plus that is enclosed in a mophie phone case (which is why I need a micro USB connection rather than a Lightning one.) . It performs as advertised. When the phone is recharging, the head of the cable glows red and when it is finished recharging, the head of the cable glows green. It fully recharges both the iPhone battery and the mophie battery. I especially like the plastic tie that comes with all Mcdodo cables. This cable makes it very easy to roll up and secure the cable neatly.

Product did not work as expected. The on/off portion ...
Product did not work as expected. The on/off portion randomly disconnected when phone was not charged. The data transfer was non existent. When it was attached to my car, it would charge and transfer for 15 minutes. Then it would shut off and no longer transfer data.

Do not buy. Poor quality.
Worked for almost 2 months and then quit. Liked the concept but the product was junk. Bought a radio shack brand cord and it lasted 2+ years for less money.

Built solidly, works as advertised, much more solid than the ones that come with your devices.
Bought one for my tablet and one for my phone. As for the tablet, build solidly, works well, has the cloth coating on the wire, I expect it will last many years and not be subject to the shorts you get with the cheap cables that come with devices nowadays. Using this one in a car environment and have yet to have any issues with it after 3 months of use.

Since the day I purchased this item, it has ...
Since the day I purchased this item, it has not worked Correctly. Immediately after removing it from the package it causes my phone to give me the error message "moisture detected in port" and when it doesn't give this message the cord has to be wiggled around to make it work. I know what everyone is thinking... it's a issue with my phone. No... I've tried it on 3 other phones and same issue

The product works fine the only reason I gave it three stars is because you can buy micro USB cables that work just as good for less money some with even more than one cable

One month later and this cord is already a bust. It continuously looses contact and charges only in spurts.Better off with an Anker Cable, there's no doubt about that.

misleading picture, bad quality
made the mistake of throwing out the packaging , or i would return this. This is a micro usb not usb c, which is pictured. nevertheless it either one works for me.
