Maud's Medium Roast Coffee Pods, 100 ct, Recyclable Single Serve Pods – 100% Arabica Coffee, Compatible with Keurig K Cups Maker

The Kona blend is decent. It is good but in my opinion, is NOT great and the hassle makes it even less great. The problem with this particular Maude branded Kona coffee that many reviewers have complained about is not the flavor of the coffee but the way it brews. There are grounds in their coffee, "explosions" and leaky/messy coffee discharge. However you label it, here is the problem: It happens on 2 different machines that I use and both are HIGH(ER) END, B-150 and the K-3500 direct plumbed machines. But, based on reviews, I suspect it happens in other machines as well. What happens is when you place a pod into the machine and close the lid, the machine is supposed to "punch" a hole in both the top AND the bottom of the K-cup pod. The top is a thin foil like material and is fine, the problem is on the bottom of the Maude pod (LOL) where they have a seemingly thicker more "flexible" plastic than most other pods and the "puncture needle" does NOT puncture the bottom of the pod like it should, it just dents it, therefore forcing the coffee, water and grounds to all come out through the top foil part, making the BIG UGLY MESS that people complain about. There are 3 possible fixes:1) Use different K-cup pods that do not have this problem which is just about ANY other ones. Read reviews to find out. If it does it, people will be saying it.2) Fix the Maude pods: How: Before closing the "hatch" on the coffee machine, take precise note of how the pod is oriented (i.e. lettering facing up (exactly 12:00) because you will have to put it back in the same position. Now: while the pod you wish to use is sitting in the tray, before you close the lid, manually push the Maude pod down into place very firmly to force puncture a hole in the bottom, then lift it and move it a hair left and press it down again, then move it a hair right and do it again. Do not worry about punching a hole in the top, the machine handles this part fine and will do it when you close the lid. After force pressing the pod a couple of times, remove pod (noting its position in the cradle and make sure there IS an actual hole (barely smaller than a ball point pen) in the pod. If so, it will now work perfectly. If not, you can use an ice pick, awl, steak knife, fork or whatever to poke a hole, just make sure it lines up with where the machine (normally) does the hole punching for you because that is were the coffee exits the pod. NOTE *** It may not matter whether or not your newly created hole lines up with the machine's "poking mechanism", I don't know for sure. I make sure it lines up but you may be able to just poke a hole and put it in any old way, I'm not certain on this. I just line it up and call it good.3) Go to Starbucks or dig up your Mr. Coffee Machine.

I have purchased these pods a few times because I like the variety of the flavors (although there are always way too many raspberry pods… I just don’t like that flavor for some reason). They are a bit expensive, but so is everything on Amazon, typically. Today, though, the box arrived with loose coffee grounds ALL OVER the inside, to the point where the packing tape has thousands of grounds stuck to it. I haven’t found the broken pod itself yet, but just opening the box made a heck of a mess, and my hands (and every single pod) are completely covered in coffee grounds. I guess I am going to have to rinse off every pod before I use it? Lame.Anyway, I liked this brand of coffee enough that I branched out and tried the “super variety” pack of flavors, and yet it keeps getting delayed, day after day after day… so at this rate, I will never actually get to try those other flavors. Lame.

As long as you understand that coffees that are chosen to be flavored are not the best coffees, you may be able to accept missing the rich aroma and character of flavored coffees and judge them by what they are. Each flavor is, well, different and some are executed much better than others. The worst ones have a chemical taste and aftertaste. The best flavors give a surprise to your taste buds. Every person will have their own response to these different flavors.These Keurig style cups are among the least expensive I have seen and they provide variety and surprise. For me, none of the flavors was particularly strong and I enjoyed the novelty of seeing what each flavor offers. You are going to have to try these to find if they work well for you.

It seems like every time I try to find a new coffee brand on Amazon, I am disappointed. A lot of the K-cups taste stale or just off. I have never had a bad cup from Maud's. This variety pack is perfect for couples or families who have different tastes in coffee. I like dark roasts and my wife likes light and flavored roasts. I went and bought the #8 Tall Dark and Handsome in a bulk 80pk and although I love it, I miss having the different varieties.

I love a good, strong cup of coffee, but only drink decaf. Hoping to save a little money, I tried Maud's Dark Roast Decaf. The flavor is okay, but not strong enough for my preference. Tastes more like a medium roast. Really wanted to like this, since it is a local company and better value than my preferred brands, but I won't be ordering again.

The plastic on these pods is too thick and I often had to poke them with a knife in order for them to work with the Keurig coffee machine. Regular pods work just fine so just be careful of that and it wasn't very strong

Purchased this as I had some at my friends and really enjoyed that decaf coffee had such good flavor. I have had some issues with grounds in the coffee, but no explosions so far, as other reviewers mentioned, it did come with 2 empty pods as the tops weren’t sealed correctly, and I only received one French toast roast, and a ton of mellow mood, both blue tops, different shades, so someone maybe wasn’t paying attention. I was really looking forward to that one as it is one of my favorites.

I can't handle caffeine or the chemicals some use to de caf their beans. These say they are organic swiss water decaf but I still get that jittery feeling of the chemical process. It's great tasting and the value is ok, but I can't handle the feeling of caffeine or the chemicals. Too bad, I would have kept ordering.

Not sure how they taste because the pods like to explode. What a waste of money. Do not buy unless you want to do some serious cleaning and possibly ruin your keurig. I cancelled my subscribe and save subscription to this immediately after trying to brew a few cups.Edit - a bit of time has passed since writing this review and I have yet to be contacted by the company with any sort of apology for their lacklustre product packaging. Just shows they don’t really care about their product quality and their customers, it’s all about the money. Save yourself the trouble and cash, buy different coffee.Gave it some more time to hear from the company and not a damn thing. Pieces of garbage. I added some more pictures because I want people to avoid this trash.

I like the variety pack where you get several different flavours. However, I thought that, for the money charged, the flavours would be exceptional and they ar just OK. I also had a near disatser with one pod which burst in the Keurig machine and coffee grounds and a flood of water ended up everywhere. I had to clean it out which was very difficult to do and took a long time. The Keurig stopped working and I thought it was broken and we would have to buy another all because one coffee pod exploded. However, I left it overnight and the next morning it was working fine again. We have been using Keurig machines every day for several years and this is the first time we have ever had a coffee pod blow up on us! I will be reluctant to buy this product again.

My review may not be as fair as one would like it to be...as I prefer strong coffee. That said, I will be judging other factors.The aroma factor is quite pleasant.I’ve tried many ‘flavoured’ coffees in the past, and they all seemed to smell the same way.Maud’s is different. Each flavour has its own unique smell and taste. I’ve never been fond of banana flavoured products...until now.Maud’s ‘Gone Banana’s Foster’ is Devine!If I could find a suitable milk replacement, I’m willing to bet it would taste like a banana shake or banana cream pie! But alas, I shall never know. Unless another kind soul tries it with milk and leaves a review? I’ve never much liked chocolate flavoured coffees or teas. Just not a big fan. However, their ‘Raspberry Choco Latte’ proved to be an exception. However, this combination would be better suited for a hot chocolate, rather than a coffee. ‘Cinnamon Roll With It’ was a pleasant experience as well. Again, with milk, I feel it would make for a better taste. ‘ Dreamy Creamy Salted Caramel’. I was actually quite surprised! I was bracing myself for a repugnant cup of Joe....but I needn’t have worried so much. It was quite refreshing.‘French Toast Roast’...has a unique taste, but I don’t think it tasted like French Toast. It was quite delicious however. Now for the coffees. This is why I gave only 4 stars. As mentioned above, I prefer strong coffee, so if you prefer weaker coffees...well...you’ve come to the right place.‘Tall, Dark & Handsome’ is what you would receive in most restaurants. Not bold by any means. It’s listed as a Dark roast. Maud’s Mellow Mood. Listed as a medium roast . If you like watered down coffee, then this is for you.And for those of you who like water...’Dunk Your Donut Shop’ is perfect for you. Again, I like STRONG coffee. So don’t let these negative remarks hold you back if you don’t like strong coffee.

I never heard of any coffee pod able to explode while brewing in Keurig machine. I wish I bought this before reading those helpful reviews (some of pods i ordered are already used) and now I am scared if some of the pods eventually explodes at my kitchen someday. I noticed the explosive pods began to happen quite a long ago, but since nothing has been resolved or collected back until today. I won't buy coffee from this brand again for its poor quality of service and resolutions. How could you make kpods explode.. quite surprising.

I am so impressed with this coffee. I drink a lot of coffee and haven't been able to find s good one for a long time, I wanted something a little stronger than the average pods. I ordered this and it is perfect. The strength is bang on! Not too strong and not weak. It has great flavor. I won't order any other brand from now on. It is exactly what I was looking for
