Lasted almost 6 years
I'm on my second one of these. The first lasted nearly 6 years before it started flaking out. At first I thought it was the cables, so I replaced those, but.. no luck. So I bought a second one. 6 years for something that cost $20? Not bad.Otherwise it works as you would expect. Plug up to 4 devices into it and use the male-to-male cables to connect it to two separate systems. In my instance, that's my desktop and the laptop supplied by my employer. And it does also accept USB power via a type-C plug (old one used micro-USB). And if you're plugging anything into this that has lights or eats power like kids eat candy, such as a LOT of keyboards and mice today and anything wireless, I highly recommend using that separate power.

Desktop space saver and convenient
Bought this to be able to use one mouse/keyboard for my 2011 iMac and my G5 Mac PowerPC, due to limited desk space. It works great, is convenient and has an extra USB port I can use to move files to a drive and then to my laptop.

Worked fine for 6 months then into the trash.
Work great for about 6 months. Now it won't switch, press the button and nothing happens. It only stays on 1 pc.Update: the company reach out to me and offered me a refund to order a new one. They did this even know it was outside the Amazon return policy. Thank you

WFH Solution
Works perfectly! I built a pc but still needed to use my laptop to work from home. This made it easy to switch my keyboard and mouse.

Great Product
great product, makes it so easy to operate more than one cpu at a time. It frees up so much space on my desk, as there is no need for two keyboard and mice.

Quick and Easy to set up, works like a charm
It was really easy to set up. I plugged one port into my Macbook's dock and the other into a desktop. With just a press of the button I can quickly swap between my Mac and my PC, there is only a slight delay of a few seconds after the press before it starts working, but besides that it works great. I was even able to hook up a power cable to it so I can charge things using it too. It's small and fits very nicely on my desk as well. The light signaling which source its hooked up to is a bit dim so it can be difficult to tell at a glance what source it is, but its not much of a problem because its pretty obvious where its connected when you try to use a peripheral and it doesn't work until you press the button to switch sources.

Stay away from this company!
What a piece of crap! I have had constant problems from this device trying to switch peripherals between 2 desktop computers once the return window had passed. I have had to constantly unplug this device from both computers each time I switch from one to the other computer. It is now about 2 years of trying to use this and I am finally fed up and looking for a replacement. I have no expectations that this company will make things right since I purchased an audio bluetooth transmiiter/receiver from this company that only worked occasionally and the only response I got was that the device was not designed to work the way I was using it. I will stay away from this company's devices for any future purchases and recommend you do as well.

Great for sharing up to 4 USB2 devices between 2 computers
This is a simple yet really useful USB 2.0 switch. It allows you to use up to 4 USB 2.0 devices with two different computers. In my case, I bought it to use one set of keyboard and mouse between my two Mac minis, as my desk is not big enough to accommodate two sets. Besides, I use the two Mac minis for different purposes and don’t need to type or mouse on them at the same time. So this switch is perfect. The product description, packaging and manual say this is “2 in 4 out.” This makes no sense to me. What you are getting is a switch that allows you to connect up to 4 USB peripherals like mouse, keyboard, trackpad, printer, USB drives (but at only USB 2.0 speeds), etc. For USB storage devices you need a microUSB cable to power the switch; I tried this by connecting the cable from my Mac mini but found the transfer speeds to be abysmal by 2023 standards, so I’m only using the switch for my keyboard and mouse. Which is what this switch is best for. Maybe a wired printer is okay with the USB 2.0 speed. This product is useful and easy to use. It comes with two USB A cables to connect to your computers. It doesn’t need power if just connecting keyboard and mouse. Great product.
