I travel with three rods, mostly bait casters. I got tired of the tangling lines and rods hitting against each other. These socks are awesome, but there's a few things to consider prior to purchasing. 1) Select the right length; my rods are between 6'10 and 7'1 and the socks I purchased are said to fit up to 7'1. They cover my longer rod just below the last guide, but the elastic at the end makes a great difference. 2) measure your line guides; I have micro guides, so fits mines nicely. Wouldn't purchase for rods with the bottom guide being more than 1" in diameter. It will fit, just a big hassle. 3) Do your research and read a few reviews.As for the nylon netting, I haven't had any issues sliding my rods in/out. I am still careful doing so there's no guides getting caught or rod tips pushing through the netting.Before using, I suggest taking them out of the package, roll them in reverse, and hold it there for 5-10 minutes. Then, insert a broomstick in the sock and carefully warm them with a hair dryer, on the lowest setting. This lessens the curling effect and helps straighten the creases on the sides.I'm a happy customer so far. I purchased four when the price was dropped, so I'm winning.

I have 7 of these rod 'sleeves" so far . 5 are on 7' spinning rods and 2 are on 8' rods. Each rod is fully protected from tip to reel seat. Elastic band at large end keeps them tight by looping around base of reel and snugging up tight. Be sure to complete your protection with SF's neoprene reel pouches as shown in photo.

The neoprene reel covers do exactly what they should, and thankfully, they do float! I have an ABU REVO SX and a KastKing Royale and these fit both perfect. They fit snugly, but not to the point you have to work hard to get them on. The little labels that come with are nice if you need to label your gear! I got two sets of the combo rod/reel covers so I could keep each rod separate. The rod covers are nice. i can't imagine you could find a casting rod that wouldn't fit inside here. The material has a plasticy sort of feel. The weave has plenty of stretch although with micro guides, I have had them come through the weave. On the whole, this is one of my favorite fishing gear purchases. They make life so much easier!!!! Wish i would have gotten them a long time ago. i just purchased another rod and reel and already ordered another set of these to be ready!!!!

I ordered the neoprene rod cover because of the extra protection they provide over the standard mesh type.I have been fishing for 50+ years including a little cover 20 years on various amateur tournament circuits so I know quality fishing gear when I see it and the gear I choose had to stand up to sometimes less than kind treatment. This rod cover does not disappoint.Normally I use a different brand that is a bit more expensive and I color code the trim on the rod covers so I know which rods are which at a quick glance. That other company does not make one with a green trim (something I have been looking for) so when I saw these I decided to take a chance. And I'm glad I did.They are a good heavy duty neoprene, but my rods slide in and out easily with no issue. I put it on an old rod first and banged it around a bit and knocked it over onto the floor and the rod blank is perfect showing no signs of damage so it is now on a much more expensive rod.Besides the product itself getting 5 stars from me Sunshine Fishing also deserves a shout out and a 5 star customer service rating.Originally I ordered the longer version to put on an 8 foot crankbait rod, but received the standard size instead. I contacted the seller and they got back to me within 24 hours and had a replacement out to me within a couple of days.I will be buying more from this seller and I can highly recommend both the seller and this product!

It is a good product. I fish a lot and my boat has two rod lockers. The lower one doesn't have built in rod storage sleeves. The upper one only has 5 built in sleeves. I usually have about 15 or more rods with me and these sleeves let's me have 10 or more rods in my lower rod lockers. They work great to lay all these rods in my lower storage and not have them all tangled up. My only complaint is the layards which go over the reel handle are a couple inches too short. They are adjustable an if the lanyards were 2 inches longer they would be great. I can't speak to their durability yet. I fish a lot with several methods. I have a lot of people in and out of my boat and do recommend them, but I also show them their one short coming. I have a fix for this. I add a couple of inches to the lanyard and all is well. I probably should have given them 5 stars but they could have easily added two inches to the lanyards. No sure what I am going to do with my 8 1/2 foot rods. After all this I would recommend them.

Overall materials are a level below the big 2's offerings that aresimilarly priced when "on sale"The square stitched tip end is already unraveling ... and it's WINTER.Haven't even moved them from the garage yet...Gonna wrap the tips into a point with electrical tape...Maybe that'll help?

These covers are great for the rods that I use every time I go fishing, I put these covers on 4 - 6 rods that I will use during the time that I am fishing and I use a Ford Expedition and the rods sit in the back and they do not tangle or get caught up on any of the carpet of the back area, so when I get to my favorite fish site it is a simple matter of open up the back pull what rods I am going to to use base on my setup and just go fishing. These are a must have, that bought a set for family that I will be given out as Xmas gifts.

Here's my review... 👍 So far I've told 8 of my fishing friends this is worth the money.!I bought mine for a 13 Fishing Creed GT 3000 and it fits just right. I've tried it on my other 2 Spinning reels, a Penn 2500 and a Penn 3000 and it fits just fine there too.That's all I got to say about that.

I've actually been using these for my high end fly rods in a case a rod case that holds 4 rods. After trying out the rod socks I was pleased that they didn't get caught up on the rod guides or my fly lines. I will be purchasing more.

realy short for a rod 7'6''- for a rod 7'6'' lenght is 170cm- for a rod 8' lenght is 200cm=======================why for 6''=15cm you have 30 cm more lenght ?Because is not for rod 7'6'' ... it is for 7'... disapointed

I purchased the spinning rod model. I was concerned because I had purchased another brand that were too tight fitting over some of the guides and others that were too loose. There are so many choices of these on amazon any you never know exactly what you're going to get sometimes. These fit perfectly ! They are a fantastic value for the quality ! I highly recommend these particular rod socks !

Good quality. Come with bands that secure over handle. Fits up to 7.5 spinning rods with a small gap. Can also be used for casting rods, won't be as snug, but band secures to handle.

Nice rod sleeves. I use them when rod are in storage or transport. That have held up. I plan on buying more
