WunderKeys Piano For Preschoolers: Book 2, 2nd Edition

I have had great success using the Wunderkeys Piano for Preschoolers program with dozens of students! When I decided to add preschoolers to my existing piano studio, I was a little nervous about learning new curriculum for that age group. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how structured and easy-to-use this program is. There are various activities throughout the lesson that allow for the short attention span of this age group. Parents are always so impressed after the first lesson. The kids have so much fun, and so do I! WunderKeys also allows for flexibility if you want to stay longer on a certain lesson or move along a little quicker. In addition, there are so many wonderful supplemental activities that their website offers for free to teachers. Their creativity amazes me! Graduates of the program flow very easily into other young beginner piano methods. I highly recommend WunderKeys Piano for Preschoolers!

I thoroughly enjoy all of the Wunderkeys piano book for preschoolers. Previous to teaching these preschool one-on-one piano books, I used to do group music classes. Not only where they a ton of work, they didn't really teach kids anymore than singing a few songs and playing with shakers. These books provide very young learners with some beginning piano skills that set the stage for them taking a more serious approach to learning a musical instrument as they get older. These are also a great starting block for students who would later like to transition to a different instrument as well. This book continues to develop dexterity, musical pattern recognition and math skills. These books do not teach preschool aged children how to read music however they prepare them with the skills needed in a fun activity based environment to set the stage for more focused instrumental learning when they are old enough and capable of learning those concepts.

The Dows have perfected this curriculum for littles, introducing each concept in a playful and easy to understand way. My students are entranced by the Wunderbies!

Of course the teacher is important! This book is a great teaching instrument for my four-year-old grandson who cuddles into the lap of his teacher while she uses the book to help him find the innate abilities of the ear to learn the qualities of music. The book uses great metaphors, memory tools, and creative drawings to stir the curiosity within.

We use these with our young students. They are the best and cutest introduction to piano. Also check out the authors "teach piano today" site for supplemental music and games.

Just recieved the preschool books and an initial scan looks very promising as a starting point for 3-4 year olds. However, one of the selling points for me were the finger puppets which were not included, very disappointing. I expected the puppets to be included from the Amazon reviews pics and some Youtube videos. Please mention in your listing that the puppets are not included with the books.

This piano book is the 2nd book in a series of three for preschoolers by Andrea and Trevor Dow. The activities have been engaging, easily adaptable to individual students, and fun to teach.

I absolutely adore this book! And so do my students! The rhythm rhymes in each lesson help instill a strong sense of rhythm and beat! The duets and fun and cute, and age appropriate! My own daughter started the series when she was 3 and adores it. And I've never had anything but rave reviews from my students and their parents! I would definitely recommend this!

Anyone who uses the WunderKeys program books will not regret it. They are great.

My 4 year old is loving the playful side of Wunderkeys so much he doesn’t even realise he’s learning the elements of music. So much so that I’ve had to invest in the primer books for my older son who wants to play some of the games for his ability.

These book are perfect for starting 3 - 5 years old onto their musical journey. The colourful and playful illustrations and characters bring lots of fun and giggles to music lessons. There is never a dull moment in a WunderKeys™ lesson as the programme includes songs, duets, patterns, games, and more - all aimed at keeping small folk entertained whilst learning music and maths skills. Highly recommend this series for all 3 - 5 years olds starting piano lessons. Great support and supplementary materials available from the Authors online groups too.

This beautifully written second edition of Wunderkeys hits all the right notes with preschool children. The activities and stories intertwine to teach concepts in an engaging, age-appropriate way. Perfect for introducing 3 and 4 year olds to making music at the piano, and with excellent online teacher support. Following on from Book 1, Book 2 builds on concepts already learned, with the friendly "Wunderbies" antics and adventures.
