Mine are not airtight. You can still smell slightly through. the small one came with a seal Styrofoam in the lid along with a plastic insert but still does nothing. The big one doesn't even have the insert let alone the Styrofoam or whatever you want to call in in the lid at all. I should have bought something else. and on the inside, it has a lip so far down that unless you can get two fingers in it at the same time, you can't slide anything out with one finger, as well.
