Suzuki, 0-String QChord Case (QCC)

This hardshell case for the Q-Chord is a must for any one who possesses the instrument. It just provides the right amount of protection. The case is well made and is very practical. It also stores most of the required accessories too.

I got this for my wife, who has had a QChord for about 18 months but was storing in it's box rather than a case. The instrument and accessories fit it perfectly and it is secure and sturdy. She likes it very much.

We were disappointed with the quality of this Q Chord case. It has no padding. It has no good hinges and no good fastener. The hinges are the plastic case itself and the fastener is just a plastic clip. Both will evenually break off with use. It would be more of a $10 item than a $50 item that they charge. I was expecting a quality case like the Omni Chord used to have.. It seems things are being made cheap these days. What has happened to quality?

Pros:Ideally sized for the QChord.Provides sufficient protection.Easy to carry and store.Spaces for AC adapter and batteries.Cons and suggestions:No lining. I don't know that it needs padding, but even a felt lining would be nice to cut down on rattle.Limited space for QCards. This isn't a big deal unless you want to carry more than 3 of them at a time. But since it is designed to hold 3 individual cartridges, you are limited. It might have been better to have a larger open space rather than 3 molded slots.Limited space for music. You can fit a slim music book or loose sheets of paper in the case, but you could never fit a fake book or the like in it. Plan to carry an additional bag for music and QCards if you are using them.Pricey. I have to agree with the other reviewer about the cost. This case is constructed of a single piece of plastic. Since there is no lining of any kind and no actual hinges or clasp, this has to be an inexpensively produced item.Overall, this is an okay product. If its main purpose is to protect and transport the QChord, it serves its purpose. If I were traveling with it, I would probably use a web strap around it, due to the plastic self-hinge and snap clasp. For its minimalist construction, I feel it should be priced considerably lower. Suzuki's custom padded QChord gigbag seems to be much more versatile and less expensive, but appears to be currently unavailable.

This does protect the instrument, but the case is cheaply made compared to the beautiful lined case Suzuki made for the Omnichord. Not the fault of the seller, it is what Suzuki provides.

This product is really good.The case is made of a strong kind of plastic, and protects the instrument very well. There are also some compartments to put songcards and other acessories.

This is the perfect case for the Qchord. It's molded to fit the instrument perfectly as well as the plug-in adapter and extra batteries. It is so much more durable than a soft "gig bag".

I wanted a hard case to give my wife for her Qchord. It fits in the case perfectly and has a compartment to store the AC adapter too.
