USB Computer Fan Quiet, 5V Powered Fan with Speed Controller for Router Modem Receiver DVR Xbox TV Box Cooling

Fairly quiet, except when on high.

building a AC cooler to remove heat in my truck cab. I underestimated fan cfm. The fan preform as expected time for upgrade.

Electronics work better with air flow cooling but for some reason this tower doesn’t have a built in fan. The heat coming out of the top vent was 125-130 degrees under moderate to heavy data use. It was obvious that we needed a way to cool this down.The diameter of the tower is 4.75”. A quick search brought me to this 120mm fan. I also ordered a male USB-C to female USB adapter that powers the fan off of the tower (2nd picture, yellow arrow). When it arrived I took a 15” piece of masking tape, blacked it out with a sharpie and wrapped it around the base closing the air gap at the bottom. Doing so makes sure all air flow from this fan will go through the tower and out of the top. Within 10 minutes running on high the temperature at the top of our tower was only 80 degrees under moderate to heavy use. I then turned it down to low and it has maintained 75-80 degrees depending on data load. Our speeds have also gone from 20-35mbps before to 90-200mbps after. We can finally stream 4K and live TV reliably without constant buffering. I even tested by loading down our network during peak hours without issue.Running a quick cost calculation the additional power consumption running 24/7 on low should only be around $0.05 per month. Not bad for something that has significantly increased our internet speed and reliability. This fan is also very quiet, easy to setup and worth every penny.

So far so good. It was 100 degrees the other day. I would run my "vintage" Mini for about 30-45 minutes and the fan sounded like a turbine. Even basic streaming video would suddenly turn into a choppy mess. Shut everything down and come back 30 minutes later and repeat the process. Had a couple hours with no problems yesterday since adding the fan. Happy so far. Especially for the price.

I used the fan to help cool the T-Mobile modem on hot days. The fan works OK as is, but could be a little better.I think the fan would be more efficient if the four legs were a half an inch longer. Set the fan on a table and feel the air flow. Next lift the fan about a half an inch up from the table top and the air flow seems to be better.

Keeps my T-mobile Internet Router cool even on very hot days. I burned up one sim card before I bought this fan. Since I purchased the fan I've had no sim card issues.

I read all of the reviews and chose this model. It keeps the T-Mobile Gateway completely cool, and even on high it’s quiet. Fits perfectly under the Gateway. I’d buy it again, highly recommend.

This fan does the job. Quiet and cooling.
